happy new years

Maybe my resolution should be to update this every once in a while.

Not too much has happened lately, other than my grandma dying. I was okay, we all saw it coming, but it was still a pretty bad two weeks for my mom. I'm seriously not good with the whole comforting other people thing. Le awkward. But she's okay now. Her and my brothers took off for her funeral in LA right after xmas. I couldnt go because I had to work, but I wanted to. Not for the funeral, per se, but because I'd be in LA and get to go shopping and go to Pinkberrys. I am obviously a bad person.

Xmas was fun. I got these fabulous hooker boots that look exactly Capt Jack Sparrow's pirate boots except these have 6 in heels. I can't walk in them for more than 10 mins at a time and I absoutely love them. Its a wonder why my friends dont disown me.

Turned the big 2-0 the other day. I'm officially no longer a teenager. We went to El Paso to go ice skating but it was closed because the world hates me. We did end up going to see the movie "Juno" tho. It was pretty cute but I think Annie and Josh enjoyed it more than I did. Josh actually bought the soundtrack to the damned thing. But if Michael Cera wants to call me at like...anytime, that would be great. Rumor has it that Stefanie is searching for a boyfriend upgrade in near future. Maybe somebody who actually treats her like a girlfriend rather than just a girl who's a friend except for at one in the morning when he wants in my pants. Or would at least open the door for me or something.

Want to know a movie that is 1000 times better than "Juno"? "Across the Universe". I saw it like a month ago and it is still the most awesome thing I have witnessed. I want it on DVD, dammit.

Anyway, we ended New Years Eve at Kent's house with more Guitar Hero showdowns than beer. Whether we are lame or cool is entirely up to you. Don't worry, I'm saving the drunken barfing in the street for next year and when me and Annie will be 21 in VEGAS. Already booked my granny's condo on The Strip. I seriously cannot wait.

Anyway, what else is up? Oh I've decided to fore go the smarty pants required reading crap that I've set out for myself in leiu of some trashy teen novels. HOLLA! I read both, the first "Gossip Girl" and "Twilight" books in about 3 days and I'm waiting until payday for the next two. (Again. Boyfriend upgrade. Edward Cullen? CALL ME.)
