Finished Slaughterhouse Five. My copy was over 20 years old, and judging from the notes penciled into the margins, was owned previously by a paranoid schizophrenic. Although entertaining at first, it became bothersome quickly as I almost always read the notes as though they were a part of the novel. Ha. Not even Vonnegut is this mad.

You wake up at O'Hare.

Began Catch-22 (again); am already behind schedule. However, I am the first owner of this book, so the only schizophrenia I should have to deal with is my own, which so far is either nonexistant or really convincing. Either way, I'm not complaining.

I've come up with an approach to my second English 102 paper--the play about the war vets. It's either brilliant or the most horrible idea ever; I'm not yet sure which. Martin wouldn't let me tell him my setting/situation, as he wants "to be surprised," but he said no one has ever treated one of the characters in the way I plan, so that's a plus for originality. Or a minus for painfully obvious and immediately apparent as stupid. Erin claims it seems good, though, so perhaps we'll see.

Oy vey.

At least I don't have to go to school tomorrow (today, really). That's a plus.
