Okay, I didn't get time to update again because I ended up rushing Avocado to the emergency vet clinic (because my vet is on vacation) on the advice of the VBers. And good thing I did, apparently, because it turned out he was missing a big chunk of his skin and if I had taken him like, tomorrow, they might have had to cut off part of his tail! Poor kitty! As it is, he has some stitches, a shaved tail, and an Elizabethan collar that he still can't figure out how to walk with, and I have a $270 vet bill. Yikes! But I have my kitty. And he should be alright. There's a chance that the stitches won't hold the skin together, because they really had to make it tight, but the skin just has to heal on its own. If it doesn't, though, off goes the top of his tail.
Anyway, we'll see in ten days. Which means that I probably won't be in Chicago on September 1st, but oh well. Soon enough. I have to take care of my kitties first and foremost!
It's amusing to watch him walk around off balanced, though. Haha. And he keeps banging the silly collar into the doorways and everything. Poor boy.
