well, back from Maine. it was lovely, except each member of my family got sick with a different random thing. learned some more interesting family anecdotes, including that my dad almost killed julia child twice, which would be hilarious if she wasn't actually dead. All the figures of my childhood are fading away from me, first Mr. Rogers, then Julia... just don't take Bill Nye, God, please no. (*Billlll Nye the science guy, uhH unh BILL BILL BILL BILL*)
I FINISHED THE SOUND AND THE FURY! HAH! now, I have to read it again to try and figure out what the darn thing was actually about. heh, no... I really did like it actually.
and I'm supposed to post this:
1. Reply with your name and I'll respond with something random about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
(This possibly will not apply to all).
5. I'll tell you my first memory of you.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal.
I saw Princess Mononoke, which was reallllly wonderful. except for when the main character gets all melodramatic and is like "DON'T YOU SEE, THIS IS HATE! SEE WHAT IT DOES TO YOU??!!" I liked that movie, and I like spirited away, so kudos to Miyazaki. except Howl's moving castle was kind of a pansy movie. bleh. (well, I like pansies, they're quite pretty, but you get the idea)
goodnight.
eee, school descends, YPO audition descends.
EDIT:
I would also like to add that we went to this awesome restaurant. it was very avant-garde, experimental and such. the four course meal included such offerings as foie gras ice cream float and duck with kola nut froth. AND since there was cable at the inn we stayed at, I got to watch Myth busters and Sex and the city to my heart's content.
