Let You Fall

Walking around I fell upon this
Canc'rous notion
That all things could be in one hand
A sudden thunder
Booming inside my head
A rocking from the middle of the world
Cracked open, and stood then the devil
I wonder if he knew...

Seeing this,
It would've been so easy
To crawl around and
Plant a nest on my brain
Forecast some wild sin
Could it be from something so sane...

-moderate instrumental-

Then turning
You came crashing into my world
With my mouth all wide and agaze
My first thought I must be crazy
Some dream about angels...

What could've been wings
Could burn away to nothing
Words to flames, and myself
Standing with my eyes open
Wide and I should say
That the ground was sloping...

A doggie seems so sweet, but
Through the rain
A wolf finds this feigning...
The devil is pouring

-long instrumental-

Sitting at this
Bar thinking
Cant find the comfort on this stool
So I drink to greet it

Warming hello from
A burning rain, oh and this
Thought I found
Shoved deep in the back of my mind
Found the sun again, and sometimes this is
Holding on to me
I wonder if he knew...

A doggie seems so sweet, but
In the rain
A wolf finds this feigning...
The devil is sliding

-momentary instrumental-

Through the rain
A busted bar door, from
Where I left on light feet
Like lightening to my bedroom, where I...
The biggest jar I could find
And slid outside to capture you

To Heaven I cried
Let you fall back on me
Come crashing into my world, oh
I'll fill it up with you
And climb inside
A tight squeeze, but
We'll work it out...

...And a hole
Is always there in my globe
Where I crawled inside...

Crawled inside...
