Drippy drip drip
I didn't go to work today. I am actually sick. Harumph! Hopefully I will be better tomorrow, since I have tickets to see BR-549.
J. called me & told me that not only do we have a place to stay in Austin for SXSW, but she'll pay for the rental car. So I think I can go. I found tickets for $203, but I think I can get cheaper. Exciting! Maybe I can meet Jessica and the others.
I got invited to Valentine's Day dinner at my friends house. She said it isn't couples only, but when she named everyone coming, they are all couples. Bleh. Not to mention, I just can't sit at a dinner table & listen to L. lie all night. It really drives me crazy. Thank god my parents are coming to visit & I will be indisposed. There's no balm for V-day woes like having a boring dinner with your parents. At least I know I'll get candy.
Last night at the book club meeting, the hostess' neighbors peeked over the fence & invited us all over for a house tour. They had just bought the mansion next store & are turning it into a bed & breakfast. They were adorable (Will & Bill & their houseboy, Phil). They have done so much work in 3 weeks, it was pretty incredible. Book club IS educational.
