Shinji: Shinji seemed to be thinking about that. “No use thinking about what happened before, I guess. I’m not sure how it can be made up, but if you want to try, be my guest, though it’s not really important to me if you do or don’t, because you’re sorry about it, so that’s the important thing.” He sighed and shifted his grip on his school bag. “Almost there….”
Momo: Momo grinned over at the other teen, looking rather amused for some reason. "I was thinkin more... we could take you and Echizen out somewhere. Dinner, maybe? A club, a movie? Just... something! Know it's not much, but I know Akira would love it, and Echizen'd probably find it funny. What do you think?"
he faced front again and glanced around, noticing for the first time they are actually close to Echizen's street. "Heh, that was quick. You alright?"
Shinji: “Depends on the club.” Shinji smiled. “But if Akira’s in charge of that, then I know I’m all for it, because it’s been a long time since I’ve hit a club of any sort, so yeah, that would be fun. Maybe in a week or two, when Ryo and I are settled with this new arrangement and all?”
He sighed, shifting his grip again. “I’ll be alright, yeah. Just a lot to carry and your arms must be killing you by now. You’d tell me if you needed a break, right?”
Momo: Nodding happily in agreement, Momo was already thinking of a way to broach the subject to his fiancé. He knew if he asked, Kamio would have a dozen ideas on when and what club to go to. Momo wasn't sure how well Echizen would take to going to a club, but they'd find out eventually. "Sure, we'll give it a week or so and then take you two out somewhere! It'll be a blast!"
"Eh? A break? But we're nearly there." His arms were straining a little, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.
Shinji: “If you’re sure….” Shinji nodded; he could pretty much see Ryoma’s house, but there was nothing worse than going all the way, then stumbling at the finish line. He shifted his grip on his tennis bag, then paused, thinking about something that had been nagging at him. “Hey, Momoshiro? Can I ask you a question about your tennis team?”
Momo: "Positive." He replied cheerfully, catching sight of Echizen's house as they rounded the corner. Belatedly he wondered if Echizen was actually going to be home now, or if he was watching Hitomi-chan still. He almost worried about Nanjirou, until he realised that he was probably off stalking his son and eye-balling the cheerleaders.
It took him a second to realise that Shinji had asked him a question. "Huh? What? Sure, what do you wanna know?" Momo gave Shinji a curious look, not really sure where the question had come from.
Shinji: Shinji bit his lip, trying to think of how to say what he wanted to say without betraying too much of what Ryoma had confided in him. “Have you and Kaidoh-san thought about who will be taking over the club next year?” he finally asked, deciding to start there.
Momo: "Ah." He nodded slowly. "Hadn't realised he'd told you about that... But no, we've not yet. Echizen... he's planning on telling Kaidoh at some point. Not sure when. He swore me to secrecy though. ... after I mentioned it to Inui senpai, anyway." Momo looked a little sheepish. "Don't tell him Inui senpai knows, please? He'll just get weird around him. We've been trying to think of ways to get him to stick with the team. I... really really think he'd make a good team Captain. It'd be good for him too. I'm not the only one who thinks that either... So I'm holding out hope."
Shinji: “Then you know, too.” Shinji let out a quiet breath. “I…I think you’d have better luck getting him to stay on the team than to be captain” he said slowly. “He…he doesn’t want to lead, not from what he’s told me, and he’s worried enough already that he’ll be alone, and he’ll be even more alone as captain, and if you push him, you’ll lose him.”
Momo: "Yeah, he told me... Around the time he told me off for ignoring him." Momo laughed softly, still a little guilty for doing that. "Yeah... you're probably right though. Probably... I feel... really bad though. I don't want to leave him back there on the team. But there's nothing I can do! And I've thought. Been thinkin about it since he told me. Even talked to some teaches about what it'd take to skip him a year so he graduated with us!"
"... Hate thinking of him alone on the team. But you're right again, it'd be worse if he was Captain. I don't know..." He shrugged, or as much as he could with a bag over his shoulder and boxes in his arms.
Shinji: Shinji looked down at the ground. “I already told Ryo that I would support him, no matter what he chooses. Honestly…I almost think keeping him on the team if he wanted to leave would be a waste. Barring another amazing freshman, there’s really no challenges in his year, and he’d get more out of unofficial matches with everyone on the street courts and all.”
He sighed. “It’s going to be a hard choice for Ryo, regardless. It’s always hard to try and decide if you’re going to walk away from tennis.”
Momo: "Yeah, I'll back him too, in whatever he wants. But I wouldn't feel right if I didn't try to help him work out a way to... to play. He loves tennis." It killed him that he couldn't think of any way that would make Echizen happy. But he knew that, if his friend decided to quit, he wouldn't fight the decision.
"If he quits though, I'm kinda hoping he'll keep it up when he comes to high school." He flashed Shinji a grin. "It'd be fun to have him on the team again, y'know?"
Shinji: “I think he’d definitely join the team in high school, no matter what. It’s next year that could be a problem, but he’ll figure it out. Just…no pressure and all of that.” He paused outside of Ryoma’s gate. “So…ummm…here it is, and, yeah, why am I nervous again?”
Momo: "Just... Just have to try and make it easier for him, huh? Not sure how. But I'll figure that out when it comes." Blinking a little when Shinji stopped in front of the gate, Momo shot him a curious glance before walking forward to nudge the gate open. "Probably think his dad's around? Don't worry, I'll distract him, you make a run for the room!" He was teasing, trying to make the situation lighter and perhaps a little less stressful for Shinji.
Shinji: Shinji took a deep breath. “I just have to walk in, right?” He couldn’t help thinking that it would’ve been a bit easier to do with Ryoma, there, but he also couldn’t stand outside the gate all day, either, so he walked in, slowly, looking around and almost waiting to be challenged and told that he couldn’t be there.
Momo: "Yep, just walk on in!" Grinning widely at how skittish Shinji seemed to be, Momo turned on his heel and walked around the side of the house, heading for the back porch to enter the house through the kitchen. He'd pretty much forgotten to ask Echizen for a key to the house, and knew if anyone was home he'd be able to find them there.
He was almost amused to find, as he rounded the corner. Echizen sat on the porch, cross legged and dangling a cat-toy in front of Karupin, making it dance and the cat bounce about to catch it. "Hey, thought you were watching bouncing girls?"
Echizen: "Was. Not now." Echizen looked up from what he was doing, not looking at all surprised to see Momo and Shinji. "I thought you two would have been here earlier..."
Shinji: Shinji let one of his bags slide to the ground finally, his eyes focused on Ryoma. “It took longer to get out than I thought, plus Momoshiro and I were talking, so that took up some time, and it’s hard to walk fast when there’s a lot of stuff to carry, too, so it just worked out like this, not that I mind that it did, because I am glad to see you, Ryo.” He smiled, a smile that he only ever gave Ryoma. “So, how were the cheerleaders?”
Momo: Momo looked from Echizen to Shinji, and grinned even wider. "I'll just... take these up to the room, huh?" Not saying a word more, he moved past Echizen with a low laugh and headed through the kitchen, carrying the boxes up to the spare room.
Echizen: Blinking curiously, Echizen watched his bestfriend walk away before turning his attention back to Shinji. He stayed quiet as his boyfriend talked, eventually unwinding himself and rising to his feet. "Glad to see you too. They were... They need some work, I think." Smiling back at Shinji, he stepped forward and gently slipped his arms around his boyfriends waist, just leaning against him.
Shinji: Shinji let the rest of his bags drop and wrapped his own arms around Ryoma, holding him close. “As long as they didn’t convert you back to girls or anything, right?” He lifted a hand to pull off Ryoma’s cap, kissing his hair softly. “We had no trouble getting out, Ryo, so you don’t have to worry about that. Everything went fine.”
Echizen: "Convert me... No. I just went because Hitomi-chan asked me. I was... in a nice mood at the time, and couldn't back out of it. So had to go." Shrugging a little, he turned his head to rest his cheek against Shinji's chest, his eyes closing as he listened to his boyfriends heartbeat.
"Hmmm... Momo senpai was too cheerful, I figured nothing happened. Glad to know for sure though. Sorry I couldn't come and help." Tilting his head back, he smiled up at Shinji. "Don't I get a proper kiss?"
Shinji: Shinji chuckled. “I think Momoshiro might be cheerful if the world was ending, sometimes, but I could be wrong about that, too. I know he was very cheerful today, though, and we did have a good talk about things, so it worked out well.”
He looked down at Ryoma and smiled again. “Well, since you asked for it,” he said softly, and leaned down to kiss Ryoma, gently at first, holding his boyfriend closer to him as the kiss slowly deepened.
Echizen: Echizen just about grinned at that. "He does have an annoying way of seeing the bright side... So he might." Though how he'd find something cheerful about the world ending, Echizen wasn't exactly sure. He was also a little curious about the talk they'd both had, but decided not to ask about it figuring he'd find out eventually.
He was saved from having to say anything else when Shinji gave him the kiss he'd asked for. Sighing happily, Echizen lifted his arms to slip them around his boyfriends neck, pulling himself closer to he could deepen the kiss further with a low moan.
Shinji: Shinji’s hands slid down Ryoma’s back, cupping his backside and lifting him a little as he pressed deeper into the kiss, whimpering softly when Ryoma’s tongue brushed against his. Slowly, almost teasingly, he slid his tongue into Ryoma’s mouth, exploring and teasing the spots, stroking in the ways that made Ryoma make those low, delicious sounds in the back of his throat.
He forgot that they were outside, forgot that Momoshiro could come back at any moment, just losing himself in the taste of Ryoma’s kiss and the feel of his boyfriend so close to him.
Echizen: Making a soft sound as his ass his grabbed, Echizen pressed harder into the kiss, lips parting willingly to allow Shinji his exploration. Loving the feel of his boyfriends tongue against his. After a moment though, he got a little sick of not being close enough, and with a little hop managed to pull himself up a bit more to wrap his legs around Shinji's waist, clinging to him.
It hadn't been that long since they'd last saw each other, but it felt like it had been an age. When they came together like this, Echizen always felt happy and content. As if just seeing Shinji made everything right with the world.
Shinji: Shinji’s arms tightened around Ryoma, holding him and supporting him as he got lost in the kiss. Every kiss felt like the first one to Shinji, that same wave of amazement and rightness that he had felt the first time he kissed Ryoma never failing to overwhelm him again and again. He honestly felt like he could spend a lifetime kissing Ryoma and never once get tired of it, trying to express just what he felt for Ryoma through their kiss.
All too soon, though, he had to pull back for a breath of air. “I missed you, Ryo,” he said softly. “And I want to kiss you some more, too, where I might not drop you by accident.”
Echizen: Echizen was clinging to his boyfriend like a koala, but he didn't care. He was lost in the kiss too. All he could think about was how good Shinji felt against him, how much those kisses made him feel like he was melting, drowning in the sensations Shinji always brought to the surface. The emotions, the love.
The kiss was broken before he was ready for it to, and he couldn't stop himself from whimpering and trying to chase Shinji's lips to carry on the kiss. Lips gently brushing against his boyfriends, he smiled. "Missed you. Hmmm... more kisses?" Loosening his hold on Shinji, he dropped his feet back to the ground and looked over his shoulder. "Maybe we can get rid of Momo senpai...?"
Shinji: Shinji nodded, his smile reaching his eyes. “I’m grateful for his help, of course, and he’s a nice friend, but I’d rather be kissing you right now, and he doesn’t need to be watching us, he has his own boyfriend to kiss, unless he needs tips on how to do it, but he can get those tips somewhere else.”
Unable to resist, he sat on the edge of the porch, pulling Ryoma down onto his lap. “Maybe one more kiss before he gets sent home, though?” he asked softly, his lips brushing across Ryoma’s, then claiming them again with a soft whimper.
Echizen: "He is..." He tried not to smile too much as he suddenly found himself pulled into Shinji's lap. "One more... can't hurt..." Slipping his arms back around his boyfriends neck, Echizen pressed forward, meeting Shinji's kiss and deepening it immediately. Softly he ran the tip of his tongue along Shinji's lower lip teasingly.
Shinji: Shinji moaned softly, his lips parting for Ryoma, giving him control of this kiss. He loved the way that Ryoma knew just how to kiss him, how they both liked it. His hands pushed up Ryoma’s shirt, stroking over his back, then around to trace the muscles of his stomach, his touch at times firm, and at others teasing, moving with the rhythm of the kiss.
Echizen: As Shinji's lips parted under his, Echizen was quick to slip his tongue deep inside, searching, exploring in the same way Shinji had done moments before. His kisses hardened, became hungry and demanding as he pressed himself against his boyfriend. Those soft hands moving over his back made him shiver and quake, even more so when they moved to trail over the sensitive flesh of his stomach. Almost he broke from the kiss to toss his head back and moan, but he bit it back, making it a low purring sound that came from deep within his chest.
Echizen moved softly against Shinji, teasing him as he brought his hands up to bury his fingers within his boyfriends hair. He loved this. It always felt good; Shinji seemed to know just the right way to touch him and hold him.
Shinji: One of Shinji’s hands found its way into Ryoma’s hair, holding him close as the kiss deepened ever further. He moaned, low and deep in his throat, when Ryoma moved against him, teasing his entire body into awareness. For a moment, all Shinji wanted to do was pin Ryoma beneath him on the porch and explore him, long and slow, to make his boyfriend shake and cry out in pleasure. He didn’t even care if Ryoma’s father caught them out.
Just as Shinji was shifting, though, his hands moving to grip Ryoma’s hips, he remembered another reason to not go ravishing Ryoma on the porch right then and there. With a soft sigh, he disentangled himself from the seductive kiss, though his lips were still brushing Ryoma’s as he murmured, “You know, Momoshiro’s probably going to come out here any second now.”
Echizen: Echizen gave a low whimper when Shinji pulled away from the kiss, because he'd been liking that and really hadn't wanted it to end so soon. He didn't care if anyone saw them or caught them or whatever, he'd just wanted to stay there and kiss Shinji. It was his right. He was his boyfriend. But he supposed Shinji did have a point... "So?" He found himself murmuring, softly kissing at his boyfriends lower lip, trying to entice him into another kiss. "It's not like we're having sex or something."
Momo: "Thank god for that." Momo drawled from the door of the kitchen. He'd come out not too long ago and to find Echizen and Shinji locked at the lip and had hastily backed back into the room to give them a minute. But no way was he going to hang around and wait for them to finish humping before he made his presence known. "Wait till I'm gone before you two do stuff like that, yeah?" Grinning, he strode forward and hopped off of the porch.
Echizen: "... We wouldn't really..." Echizen almost pouted, but knew that if he was given the chance he probably would have.
Momo: "Yeah yeah, whatever you say!" Laughing, Momo looked to Shinji and winked. "Bags are in your room, but I have to get going now. Have a date! But it was good talkin to you, and you two try to behave, okay?" Still laughing, Momo lifted a hand and waved as he started to walk away. "Call you later, Echizen! Bye!"
Echizen: "Bye, Momo senpai." Leaning a little against Shinji's shoulder, he watched his bestfriend leave before turning his attention back to his boyfriend. "... what did you two talk about anyway?"
Shinji: Shinji blushed. “Right now, I’m more concerned with how long he was standing there, but…we really didn’t talk about a lot. Talked some about Akira, about him, about you and us….” He kissed Ryoma again, softly. “It was productive, really. But…do you want to talk about that, Ryo?” He smirked. “Or would you rather misbehave some?”
Echizen: "I could call him back and ask?" Echizen gave a truly impish smile when Shinji started to blush. He didn't think Momo was the type to stand around watching others make out, but he could be wrong. It took all types and he wasn't sure exactly what 'type' Momo was yet.
Returning the kiss softly, he was just about to open his mouth and ask some questions on what exactly Momo had had to say about them, but Shinji's own question took the wind from his sails and forced him to think. It didn't take long for him to return the smirk and then push himself closer against Shinji, almost purring his next words. "Hmmm... maybe we can misbehave... for a little while longer?" Teasingly he licked the corner of his boyfriends lips, following it with a gentle kiss.
Shinji: “Call him back, and I’m staying in my own bed tonight.” Shinji didn’t think he was serious about the threat, but it couldn’t hurt to make it. “I like the idea of misbehaving,” he murmured softly, returning the soft kiss, then smiling and bending to nuzzle Ryoma’s neck. Between kisses and nips, he asked softly, “Do we want to misbehave here, or move it upstairs?”
Echizen: Back arching ever so slightly, Echizen closed his eyes and tilted his head back to let Shinji lavish attention to his neck. Bringing his hands up, he buried them within his boyfriends hair again, holding him in place as he uttered a soft, delicate moan. "Mmmm... upstairs... might be more comfortable..." he said at length, trying to work up the brain power to get the words past his lips, because what Shinji was doing to his neck was pretty much short circuiting every synapse in his brain.
Shinji: Shinji was quiet for a minute, more focused on leaving a mark on Ryoma’s neck than on his boyfriend’s words. Kissing the mark, he looked at Ryoma and smiled. “Upstairs is a very good idea,” he murmured. “If I can stop touching you long enough to let you off my lap so we can go up there, anyway.” As he spoke, Shinji’s hands found their way back under Ryoma’s shirt again. “That might be hard to do.”
Echizen: Echizen's head lowered and his eyes opened as he gave his boyfriend a slow smirk. His neck still tingled, cantering at the spot Shinji had marked. He knew that if he reached up to touch it his skin would be very, very sensitive, so he didn't. Instead he leant in to deliver a gentle, sweet kiss to his boyfriends lips. "Your willpower is amazing, Shinji." Echizen murmured, laughter in his voice.
Slowly he pulled back, letting his arms slip from around his boyfriends neck and his hands slowly trailed down Shinji's chest. Moving his hands then on to Shinji's arms, he ran them along until he could take the other boys hands in his and tugged them out from under his shirt. "Lets go." Pushing himself up to his feet, Echizen kept ahold of Shinji's hands and pulled him up along with him, walking backwards and leading him into the house.
Shinji: Shinji managed to suppress his laugh as he let Ryoma pull him inside. “Well, if you had someone like you squirming on your lap, it might be hard for you to stop, too, only it would be a little creepy if you were squirming on your own lap, wouldn’t it, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.” He couldn’t help smiling. “I feel like there should be carrying over the threshold or something like that, you know, but it’s your house, so that doesn’t make sense.”
Echizen: Echizen stopped walking to give Shinji a funny look, eyeing him critically. "I could try and carry you over the threshold... But you might have to carry me to hospital afterwards." Echizen wasn't weak, and probably was a lot stronger than most his age, but that didn't mean he had strength enough to lift and carry someone of Shinji's size and height, no matter how tempted he was to try.
In the end he just shrugged and stepped back through the doorway, tugged Shinji to follow him, and when he was close enough Echizen stood on tip-toes to softly kiss him. "Hmmm... Welcome home, Shinji." He whispered, smiling against his boyfriends lips.
Shinji: “No, I don’t think a trip to the emergency room is how I want to spend today, and I really don’t think it’s how you want to spend today, either, so I think we should just skip that part of it for now.” Shinji couldn’t help chuckling a little at the mental image, anyway. “And who knows, you’re probably due for a growth spurt, so you could end up taller than me one day, maybe, and then it might work.”
At Ryoma’s words, something in Shinji relaxed and he smiled, a smile of happiness and contentment as he returned the soft kiss, nuzzling Ryoma gently and holding his boyfriend close against him. “I’m home, Ryo.”
