Rain poured down from the sky as the two tennis players jogged around the courts. Kaidoh cursed to himself as he kept his eye locked forward, refusing to look at Momo who was running next to him; it wasn’t fair, if it hadn’t been for the idiot next to him, he wouldn’t have gotten into a fight and be forced to run while the rest of the club had cancelled practice that day due to the weather. Even Tezuka had left, insisting he had work to do indoors but promising them he would know if they didn’t complete all their laps.
“Mamushi, are you mad?”
A hiss escaped Kaidoh; of course he was mad. If a certain idiot hadn’t make them late for practice they could have left with the others when it had started to rain.
“Mamushi?”
Kaidoh ignored the annoying nickname as he continued to run; five more laps and he could get out of there.
“Mamushi!”
Feeling Momo suddenly grabbing his arm, Kaidoh stumbled forward, landing face first in the mud with the other male falling onto his back. With a hiss he shoved Momo off of him and sat up as he glared at the idiot; he remained quiet, as he didn’t trust his voice and the last thing he wanted was to lash out.
“You are mad aren’t you?”
“This is your fault,” Kaidoh grumbled as he pulled his bandanna from his head and used it to wipe the mud from his face. “You’re the one who couldn’t wait until after practice and made us late.”
“No, this is your fault for letting me get a peek at you while you were changing.”
Eyes narrowed. “You need to keep your mind out of the gutter while we’re at practice.”
“Think of it as practice to make us better double players!”
Leaning forward Momo captured Kaidoh’s lips in a kiss and against his will, Kaidoh found himself being lowered back down to the sloppy ground. Stupid him for being unable to refuse Momo; it was hard to believe at times that the intense rivalry they shared in the past had lead to the point where they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other.
Kaidoh shuddered when he felt one of Momo’s hands slid up under his Regulars shirt and cold fingers dance across a nipple, sharply twisting it and resulting in Kaidoh moaning into Momo’s mouth. Momo’s other hand meanwhile travelled downward towards Kaidoh’s cock wanting to pet it.
The sane side of Kaidoh’s brain said it wasn’t right, that they were in a dangerous spot, out in the open, not to mention the mud and the rain and the fact that anyone could walk by at any minute; however the other side said to just give into the other male since they hadn’t had much time before practice.
“Ten more laps!” a voice suddenly called out and in alarm the two males quickly pulled away; they found Tezuka towering over them with Fuji by his side who couldn’t keep from laughing; both were under the safety of umbrellas and back in their school uniforms with their tennis bag slung over one arm; clearly they were on their way home.
With a hiss, once more annoyed with his boyfriend, Kaidoh shoved the muddy bandanna that was still in his hand into Momo’s face. He then darted to his feet, running off without a word. Great, now not only did he have more laps to run but also he got to look forward to a stern talking to from Tezuka tomorrow and Fuji spending rumours to the rest of the team.
Focusing on his run, Kaidoh ignored the fact that Momo was once again hot on his heels; unfortunately there was no way he could outrun his boyfriend; years of competition had taught him that since it seemed they were always neck and neck when it came to trying to outdo the other; he only hoped that getting caught had cooled Momo down for a bit.
The rain didn’t let up as they completed their laps but fortunately for Kaidoh, Momo left him alone for the rest of the time. Hurrying to clubhouse ahead of Momo, he quickly locked the door behind him; he wanted peace while he showered and dressed, Momo could jack off in the rain for all he cared.
Ten minutes later Kaidoh, dressed once more in his school uniform, unlocked the door to find a soaking wet Momo holding out his wet and muddy bandana; the way Momo had been acting earlier, Kaidoh was surprised that there was no white residue of cum on it.
“You forgot this.”
“Get in the shower while I wait,” he muttered while taking the bandanna from Momo and shoving it into his tennis bag; even with the rain it would be busy on the streets outside the school so he knew he could make it home safely without being attacked.
The stupid smile Momo on his face as he hurried to the showers almost made Kaidoh duck out of there; it was pathetic how weak he was becoming, unable to resist his boyfriend, but he did admit it was fun at times.
It continued to rain as they walked home together; the weather certainly sucked lately, the rain now lasting on and off, mostly on, for over a week. It wasn’t that Kaidoh completely disliked rain, but after a week of it, it put him in a foul mood; having to listen to Momo chatter the entire time only added to Kaidoh’s pain, which was about to get worst.
“Come on!” Cheerful laughter erupted throughout the street as a group of four children raced down the wet sidewalk; unfortunately for the two teens, the kids weren’t paying attention to where they were going and one straight into Kaidoh’s chest.
“Sorry,” the boy mumbled before running off with his friends; it was then Kaidoh noticed the sticky substance attached to his jacket. His eye twitched as he ripped off the lollipop and dropped it to the ground.
“I’ll buy you a treat,” Momo apologetically offered but all Kaidoh really wanted was to go home, get out of the rain and now clean up. With any luck it would be nice enough tomorrow to have a normal tennis practice.
Unfortunately things once more didn’t go his way as Momo grabbed his arm and dragged him into a nearby convenience store. After a few minutes he picked out an item and handed it to his boyfriend.
“A candy apple?” Kaidoh said with disbelief.
“Caramel apple,” Momo corrected; the apple was indeed covered in a thick layer of caramel. “It’s the best of both worlds; you get a healthy treat from the apple side and sugary goodness from the caramel part.”
Kaidoh remained quiet, wondering what he should do as Momo paid for their items; he couldn’t outright refuse the treat since he didn’t want Momo to be sad, but he didn’t exactly want it either. In defeat he removed the wrapping and gave it a tentative lick.
“Good; right?” Momo said before biting into his own apple; he then noticed something outside the store. “Hey look!”
The rain had stopped.
In shock, Kaidoh stared outside as sun began streaming through the clouds; after days of rain there was finally a glimmer of hope that better weather was on the way.
With another lick, Kaidoh decided that if caramel apples could turn the weather around so quickly, he was going to have to add them to his diet.
