Inui & Shizuka 001

Who: Inui and Shizuka
What: First meeting, training
When: 18th September
Where: School gym, outside girls dorms
Warning: Fluff 8D

It was a long day, Inui had found and there was a lot of information that needed to be taken in. He still had a lot of things to do on his list, but for that moment, he decided to put it aside and go and find the gym. Hopefully where he would be spending quite a fair amount of his time from that day onwards if he got accepted to the basketball club like he wanted.

What interested him though was one of the girls that commented on his newly formed journal who was in the basketball club. Her response had amused him to the point of him actually smiling at the thought of him in one of those tight basketball dresses trying to dunk. Not that there was a liklihood of it happening. It was flat out never going to happen, but it was still an amusing thought.

Sliding the door to the gym open, he stepped inside, having brought his own ball to play with.

Right after checking the strange online stuff Shizuka had headed down to the gym. It had somehow become her daily routine, school, read stuff online (though some of it was really weird, the other students sometimes said really strange things, though she supposed that was their right, eveyone could say what they wanted after all, even if it was weird) and then head down to practice some on her own, since no one else on the team seemed really enthusiastic. Which was stupid, since usually you only joined a club if you were interested in it, but maybe their parents had forced them to do it, which wouldn't really be nice, but she'd heard that sometimes parents did that, when they thought their children were not active enough, but it was still mean.

Though maybe if Inui-senpai had said he liked basketball there would be some life in the club when he joined, if they were allowed to practice mixed that is, but then again she couldn't remember there being a rule against playing mixed basketball, and such a rule would be stupid anyway. Shizuka nodded to herself, absentmindedly dribbling the ball on the ground.

Shizuka blinked. When had that guy appeard here? Though, he was carrying a basketball, so maybe he wanted to play too... so that must be inui-senpai, since none of the other guys played much, unless she didn't know about it but that would be strange, since she was at the gym almost every day and she though she knew everyone who played, but it could always be someone new she supposed, or he would probably know training times. "There's only practice on fridays." Though, really, that was a little too few times in her opiningon, but then again no one in the club had any interest to play more often, even though they were in the club, and she mostly had the gym for herself too, which was nice because it was quiet, unless of course, someone walked in like right now, but she supposed that wasn't too bad.

"So do you mind if I take the other half of the court since you're not using it?" he asked simply. It was a reasonable request after all. Though there was a strong possibility that his presence might be detrimental to this girl's focus - he had come to find he had that effect sometimes. Which was actually more than sometimes since the percentage was around 76.4% of the time for most females.

"I don't know if I have to book a time to use the court, but I would try not to impose."

"I don't think you have to book" She frowned. At least she never had booked anything and she hadn't gotten in trouble before so she'd always assumed it was okay to just go here, but maybe that boy was supposed to remind her that she had to ask first, but that would be weird, because shouldn't some teacher do that? Unless the boy was a teacher, he was awfully tall after all, but he didn't look very teacherly, then again maybe he just started to teach and therefore still looked so young... that would probably make sense, but if he really was a teacher then he wouldn't have to ask her if he could use the court, so maybe he wasn't a teacher after all...

"Of course you can use to court."

Pushing his glasses up again, he nodded his thanks for the information and the permission to share the court. Walking over to one of the bleachers he set his things down and slid out of his jacket, left in his baggy white shirt and his trackpants. Of course since he had gone looking for the courts, he was already in his basketball shoes and was ready to begin training.

Doing a few stretches, he idly watched the girl's form, taking in her mannerisms. If there was only practice once a week, the basketball club really wasn't all that established at Evergreen. This was his main conclusion. Though if she was here, that means she wanted to practice, which was something Inui had to admit he admired. Teams needed players like that.

Dribbling his own ball over to where she was, though he made sure to keep a good distance so as not to appear intimidating (he had been informed that he was intimidating whether he intended it or not on a number of occassions, you see), he offered his conclusion as to who she was. "Would you happen to be Ibu-san..?" It was more than likely, he'd gathered, from the kind of tone the person on his journal had.

Hmm, at least this person seemed sort of quiet, so she supposed it wasn't too bad he had come to practice too, unless the quietness was short-lived, then that wouldn't be nice at all, but Shizuka guessed he sounded reasonable enough which usually meant no unnecessary talking during practicing. But her teammates had seemed sort of reasonable too at the beginning, and then they had started being all girly and not playing basketball which really sucked, their coach back in Tokyo wouldn't have let them do that but apparently private schools were different in that aspect too...

"Ibu Shizuka, yes." So if this person knew who she was then he must be Inui-senpai for sure, since he was the only one playing she had introduced herself to and hadn't met yet, unless someone was stalking her, but people didn't actually do that, or if so then they would probably stalk one of the rich kids first, since rich people always were more popular, which was kind of unfair, but reasonable she supposed. Shizuka caught the ball, pondering doing throwing exercises... then again she had already done that yesterday...

Inui nodded. "I am Inui. It's nice to meet you in person-" there was a kind of tongue tie whenever he had the urge to say 'Ibu-chan' which really didn't sound nice at all. At least Inui didn't think so. "-I realise I've only just met you, but for some reason I find your last name extraordinarily difficult to address you by. Is there something else I could call you?" Of course it was illogical for that to be the case, after all, it was just a name. Names were only words. Words could easily be said, but that small fragment of something else that was neither rhyme or reason, simply came in and told him otherwise.

Shizuka frowned. That really was kind of rude, she had just met Inui-senpai and he was already sort of insulting her name.. then again that was what senpais did, being mean and everything, so she supposed she shouldn't mind, but it still was very rude... after all, 'Ibu' wasn't a very hard name, and pretty easy to remember and everything, at least she had been told so by her teacher back in Tokyo, but maybe Inui-senpai just really wasn't good with names, so she probably could forgive him for being rude...

"I suppose you could call me Shizuka" Though that wasn't an easier name at all, because it was longer than her last name, but maybe Inui-senpai was really weird and could remember long names better than short ones, so allowing him to call her by her first name would help, and she didn't mind anyway, because it wasn't like it really mattered if someone called her Ibu or Shizuka, even though some people said it was rude to just call someone they didn't know well by their first name...

Inui immediately noted that he'd offended her in some way, shape or form. It wasn't intentional, but Inui was a straight forward person. It was inevitable - and that fact was backed up by data, lots and lots of data.

"I apologise if I offended you. It's just that in Indonesian Ibu is like the equivalent of 'baa-chan' and for some reason the word association sticks with me and you are definitely not anything like that, so I thought it would be easier if I could call you something else that was cuter like you." His sentence had become somewhat run on as he spoke, his nervousness now starting to show. He really wasn't good with girls. Really. No matter what he said he always seemed to say the wrong thing and ended up getting slapped (at least 64.7% of the time to be exact).

Huh... that kind of made sense, even though Japanese was not Indonesian, and why did inui-senpai know Indonesian anyway, she didn't think they taught that at schools here, unless Inui-senpai had gone to some special school that taught Indonesian, but she didn't think people her age were allowed language schools or something like that already... but if Inui-senpai knew indonesian that was kind of cool anyway.

"I guess I don't mind" After all Inui-senpai had said he didn't mean it in a mean way, and she couldn't very well assume he was lying, because lying was bad and people shouldn't do that... though she had lied to her mother once too, but that was just because she really needed to finish her homework and couldn't go to bed yet, so that wasn't really that bad. And it really was fine if he called her Shizuka, she didn't really want to be an old woman anyway, so inui-senpai was just being nice not using her surname then...

"An Indonesian couple lived next door to us in our old apartments. They used to baby sit me when I was younger, that's how I learned." he replied, the girl's mumbling somewhat surprising. Inui wondered if she knew that she was vocalising her entire thought process? It certainly was interesting despite everything. Such an odd habit. Then again, Inui wasn't any better. He wrote on walls.

"I am not fluent, but things like names and honourifics have stayed with me." he added. Pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, Inui nodded to the girl and started to dribble his ball idly as he was standing there.

He wondered if Shizuka-chan was the female team's ace. If practice was only once a week and she was doing extra, it could very well be the case. Which led him to his next inquiry: "Shizuka-chan, how long have you been playing basketball?" It was entirely possible to talk and practice - if you were good enough to be able to multitask, though, he did wonder if he would be annoying the girl by asking. With that, he flicked the ball up with his wrist and sent it sailing towards the hoop. Nothing but net.

"Hmm, that must've been nice..." Though usually she only heard people complaining about living close to old people, but it wasn't really anything bad, old people knew a lot of stuff they could teach you after all, and if Inui-senpai had managed to learn a little Indonesian through that it was really neat, her own neighbours were kind of lame compared to that, though they were nice enough she supposed, they always gave candy to her brothers when they came to play, although you shouldn't take candy from strangers, she had told that to her brothers very often, but they never listened anyway, which really sucked when she had to take care of them while her parents were at work, they always created such a mess in the house then, but she supposed that was what little children did...

Watching Inui-senpai's ball fly - going in perfectly - she shrugged. "I think it's about four years now." Although she hadn't been seriously training for that long, her first club had kind of sucked more than Evergreen's, since no one ever let the younger girls play, but that was fine, because the club in middle school had been really nice, and they had taught her a lot of things that were not useless and then basketball had even been fun, except when they had lost a game, that had kind of sucked...

Watching Inui-senpai's ball fall to the floor she dribbled her own one, then aiming at the basket and throwing.

Watching her form with interest, Inui hummed to himself at the answer he got. It's not like he could tell anything just by watching her shoot once, but he could guage certain things, like her ability to judge trajectory.

"Do you think the other players on your team would train for the upcoming tournaments and stand a chance?" he asked as he wandered over to grab both balls now that they had fallen, bouncing Shizuka's back in her direction.

"Thanks." Shizuka nodded, catching the ball. Inui-senpai was really nice, giving her ball back and everything, back in her old school everyone had always had to get their balls back themselves, which was probably not too bad either, since they never rolled very far, unless you counted that one time one of the balls had gone astray and rolled onto the volleyball field, which had made the players kind of angry, but they shouldn't have been, because their balls always flew into the basketball field too... they must really hhave sucked if their balls always flew away though...

"I don't think the others have much interest in playing at all." Shizuka frowned, thinking back to last practice, everyone had just been sitting around and playing with their moble phones, except that one girl who had played a little with her before she had complained that her nail had broken, which was stupid, because who played something with a ball with long nails anyway, and she could just have cut it instead of complaining... some girls were really strange...

"That's unfortunate." Inui sounded somewhat displeased - or well as much as one could tell from his mostly-deadpan tone. "If you join a club you should at least be interested in the activities." Personally, Inui had never had this problem, as he played at a voluntary extra-curricular centre as well as his school teams. Between all of that, everything was quite competitive, so people trained well and formed a good team. It seemed, however, that this was not the case at Evergreen.

"Moreso for you than anyone else." Dribbling his own ball idly as he walked back to the three point line, he really had to wonder about girls sometimes. He was having a hard time understanding other people at best, let alone females in particular.

Well, yes, those were pretty much her own thoughts in the matter, after all, why join a club when you're obviously not interested, but it probably was a requirement to do some sort of extracurricular activites, so they didn't have much of a choice, but it still was annoyingwhen no one played at training. She really wondered if it was the same for the boy's team, but she could hardly go to their practice and look, unless she dressed up as a boy... actually that wasn't such a bad idea probably, since maybe she would get to play then, so perhaps she should just do that and see if she could get accepted there, but then no one could know about that, because it was probably not allowed, unless it wasn't in the rules, she hadn't read anything about that, but then she had never read through the entire rulebook, because it was just so long and boring, and why would anyone want to read all that anyway, it was just so bothersome...

"But at least I get to play sometimes" Even though those sometimes were mostly just 2 vs. 2, which was more like street basketball, and not a proper game, but it was still fun when she actually managed to convince someone... though usually she hadn't to ask for a long time, strangly the girls seemed to agree pretty fast when she asked, unlike with sensei, she always had to talk for a very long time to get them to move...

"You would not be able to play competition, no." Inui stated, replying to the thoughts as opposed to what she actually said. It was like highlighting useful information in textbooks to make concise notes - at least that is how he could easily compare what he was doing presently to something he understood.

"However I am sure there should be nothing stopping you from training with the male team without the need to dress up. As far as I am aware, all clubs I have been in have allowed spectators from within the same school - I am unsure if Evergreen is different because I haven't attended a practice session yet, though there is nothing in the rules that prevents mixed gender practice. Usually what prevents it is the difference in physical skill level, I'm sure if you can keep up, you will be allowed to train this way."

"Hmm, that would be nice..." Though she had never played with boys before, and they probably played different from girls, which was maybe the reason there were no mixed teams, but that was kind of mean, because surely they could just play the same way, and then there would be no trouble with finding people to play with too, so why wasn't it done that way, it would be much easier... though if Inui-senpai said so then maybe she really would be allowed to play with the boys, unless they had something against it, because sometimes boys were really mean to girls, and didn't want them around, which was unfair, because she never had had anything against boys either, even though they were so strange...

"Do you want to train with me tonight then?" Inui asked, knowing he'd probably have to tone down his personal routine to something more like regular training - but didn't particularly see where the problem was in that. If Shizuka-chan wanted to train to be able to join in with the male team, then Inui really saw no problem in helping her. In fact, the idea had a lot of potential - in his mind at least.

"We can see what level you are at and then go from there."

"If Inui-senpai doesn't mind, then sure..." Though that might be bothersome to Inui-senpai, and that would be not good, because being bothersome was a bad thing and her mother had always said she should try and not be a bother for anyone, so she didn't want to, but if Inui-senpai was offering then maybe it wasn't so bad after all, though she wondered why he would offer to train with her...

"So does Inui-senpai have much experience?" He probably should have if he offered to have a look at her level, because that must mean Inui-senpai can even train people and not just himself, which would be kind of cool...

"I have been playing on school and community teams for around seven years. At first I was not very good, but I trained and became a regular player as well as a manager in some cases." Inui had been the most hated player in history.. but that was beside the point, his skills were still valid, even if people didn't like him personally.

"I have made training menus for my teammates in the past, so I'm quite sure we can find something suitable for you to start with, Shizuka-chan." he assured with a nod.

"Seven years is quite a lot..." Inui-senpai must have started at a really young age then, that was really nice, her mother always said she should do more things that were like a girl when she was younger, but she really didn't understand why a girl shouldn't play because playing with puppets was really boring, though she never insisted Shizuka should play with them after she said so, Inui-senpai's parents must have been really nice to let him play that early, she thought she read that the pro players started that early too, so maybe Inui-senpai was really good at basketball then and could play as a pro soon... though she guessed they don't let kids become pros...

"It's really nice of Inui-senpai to help me." Because if inui-senpai was really that good a player then she could become better too, and then maybe she would really get to play sometimes...

"Isn't that what being a senpai is about?" Inui offered. He had always endeavoured to help wherever he could, though having it appreciated was an entirely different matter.

"We'll start with some running." Inui stated, rolling his ball over to the side of the court, stretching out a little. "It'll be jog then dash and then we'll repeat it for around 25 laps of the gym. This is standard on most male teams. Every time I say 'fast' we dash. Every time I say 'slow' we go back to jogging."

Despite all appearances, Inui was quite excited to have someone to help. Or at least someone who seemed to appreciate the offer for his help anyway. It would be interesting, he thought, if Shizuka were to join the male team for practice and actually be better than some of them. Though, for all intensive purposes, that could be a possibility, since training occurred so little.

Well, the senpai at school had never been particularly keen about helping them train, so she didn't really expect anything, but if Inui-senpai saw it that way then it was all the better she supposed, so she was not about to complain.

So, Inui-senpai wanted to start already? That was bit sudden, she hadn't thought she'd come here and really get to train, but then again that was what the gym was there for, so they might just do that, though she didn't bring anything to drink, which was not good for training, but she could always just get tab water, she supposed...

Stretching a little Shizuka joined Inui. Back in her old school they had done that kind of excercise too, but never with that many laps, though she supposed she could do it, even though it would probably be very enhausting, but that was what training was about, and if inui-senpai said they should run twenty-five laps then she would, since Inui-senpai knew what he was doing, and she really wanted to get better anyway.

"There's a water fountain just outside. If you ever need to stop, you just have to say so. Training has effect over time, instantaneous results are an illogical thing to expect." he assured her before starting off at a light jog - very light, because Inui knew just how big his strides were compared to others. "You set the pace for jogging, I'll set the pace for dashing." he stated. It would be easier if he could adapt to her current level for the purposes of this.

"We'll just do a jog lap for now, on the next pass around, we'll start to dash in between."

Well, it made sense if she was to set the pace, since Inui-senpai really had long legs, and if he set the pace then she would probably not be able to keep up, which would defeat the purpose of running with him, but if she did it then wouldn't that seem really slow to Inui-senpai because if he was so good at basketball then he was used to faster speed too and then he would get bored running with her, though she wasn#t all that slow, but probably still slow for Inui-senpai's standards, and she didn't really want Inui-senpai to get bored...though if he set the dashing pace then that was just fair, so they would share setting paces and then it was fine if she was slower than senpai while jogging.

"Alright then..." Nodding she fell into pace next to Inui-senpai, careful to stay at a pace she knew she could last 25 laps for.

After telling the younger girl not to worry about the pace of the training, but more the purpose of it, Inui proceeded to guide them through what was - as he could remember it (which was to the second decimal point, or at least the appropriate equivalent of that) - to see how she would go if she started in on training in the next few days.

All in all, he was very surprised with her uncanny ability to pace herself through everything. It was a good sign that Shizuka knew how to handle herself althetically. After their running, he took her through regular passing and shooting drills that all mainly had to do with moving up and down the court and turning into tight spaces while being heavily guarded. As Inui could play most positions (though he usually was the centre because of his height and ability to obtain jump balls) he was quite good at guarding, which helped.

Inui was never really a player that went for fast breaks. He was a player that controlled rebounds and interceptions while defending. Though, by the look of Shizuka and watching her throughout their first session, he found that she would probably make an appropriate point guard with her ability to set paces well - not only that, but her size, too.

Once their hour and a half or so was over, Inui stretched out his muscles a little. "You did much better than I had expected, Shizuka-chan." he stated, knowing full well that it was the truth. Managing energy was a very difficult skill to acquire and she did it exceptionally. Inui was impressed, to say the least.

Training under Inui-senpai was hard - harder than she would have thought, she had never been this exhausted after practice at her old school, but she had to admit, it had been fun, more so than she had had for quite a while while attempting to train herself. And, that aside, if it was exhausting then it meant it would help make her get better, which was very good

Breathing deeply she sat down on the floor, letting herself relax. "Inui-senpai is really good at thse things, isn't he?" Usually no one in her club had really known much about training, except for their coach, this was the first time she had met a student who could just make up a programm on the spot, with it seeming to be good. Of course, she would only know if it was really good if she kept training and saw the results, but still, it at least seemed like a good training. And besides, it was good if she did better than expected, because that meant she had some sort of skill already, and that was a good start. "So how long does Inui-senpai think it'll take me to get on a good enough level to play with the boys, I wonder..."

Inui chuckled softly to himself and adjusted his glasses, also sitting down to stretch. "I train extensively every day and I have done research on training and team training. When you get into the position of a manager, these are the types of things it is good to know about. So I suppose you could say that I have had a lot of time to practice these types of things, as it is one of the few things that I do well." Inui admitted. There were things he was exceptional at, and then there were things that he was terrible at, just as with most people.

"As for how long it will take for you to reach the level of the male team - at least to the extent to be able to keep up with the training.. I will tell you after I attend practice on Friday afternoon. By that time I should be able to make a solid judgement and set out a formal training schedule for you to attempt, should you still want to continue with that as your goal." Inui wouldn't give an estimate on something he wasn't informed about. Not now, not ever. As he did not know the current level of the male basketball team, he would answer Shizuka's question when he had the appropriate data.

"Hmm... I don't think we even had a manager back in my old school..." There had only been the coach and the players, but she thought the coach was the one who had been managing the club, but then again she could just have missed the fact that they had had a manager, she seemed to miss a lot of things recently which kind of sucked, because she missed important stuff too, but in the end someone had always informed her if it was really important so it was fine, she supposed.. at least she hadn't gotten into any trouble so far for it.

"And of course I want to continues like that." At least if the boys' team was any better than the girls' team, which wouldn't be hard, considering things, unless they slacked off even more, but then they would really, really suck and usually boys were more competitive than girls anyway she had read, so they shouldn't slack off, and that would mean she could play with them when she was ready for it, Inui-senpai was really great for wanting to help her with that...

Inui nodded and gave as much of a smile as his expression would allow, which actually showed he was extremely pleased to hear it. It seemed that it had been easy to interact when he was talking about basketball or showing Shizuka how to do different drills, but then again his mind was occupied with the task at hand as opposed to simply trying to have a conversation. Though, in the end, Inui didn't believe that mattered at all, only that it served to smooth out his own rough patches in the area of interaction.

"I am glad to hear it, but I won't go easy on you." he stated, his tone somewhat teasing, but in a nice way. "We'll start off with training you three nights a week here with the drills we went through today. Every morning I'd like you to run around the girl's dorm once, then do it again in the afternoon. Doing that will increase your ability to do the training. If you like, try dribbling a ball when you run around the dorm. It's actually quite difficult to keep full pace and do it - but I think this will be a good exercise for you, and also make running less dull."

With that said, Inui got to his feet in a smooth motion, stretching out to full height before leaning down, offering a hand to Shizuka. "Would you like me to walk you back to the dorm?"

Shizuka made a mental note of all the instuctions Inui-senpai gave her, hopefully she wouldn't forget anything... she would have to write that all down when she got to her dorm, because missing some of the training because she forgot about it would be really stupid and probably mess everything up too, and she couldn't have that happen if she wanted to get better, besides, Inui-senpai would probably be disappointed if she failed at the training he gave her, and she really didn't want that, since he was so nice to herlp her in the first place.

Blinking she took the hand offered, pulling herself up. "That would be nice, I guess, if inui-senpai needs to head back too." After all it would be really rude to make Inui-senpai walk with her to somewhere when he needed to get to some other place, but since he offered he probably needed to get back to there anyway, so it had to be fine, Shizuka supposed.

"I'll write it up for you and give it to you in the morning, Shizuka-chan. I'll also give you a recommended nutrition guide when I can better judge what you need to boost your body function." Inui stood there for a few moments there with Shizuka's hand in his own before he realised he should be letting go. Thus, he did.

"It's no trouble walking back with you, I am heading back to the dorms as well." Walking over to pick up his ball and throw Shizuka hers, Inui dribbled his by his side - his idle habit, whenever he was walking anywhere with a ball - and nodded towards the gym door. "Ready?"

Nutrition guide, that was interesting... that meant Inui-senpai would be helping her control her food too, which was kind of neat, she had only heard of that being done for pro athletes, so if Inui-senpai could even do that, then he maybe really was on his way to become a pro... though he wouldn't have that much time for being all pro when he still had school, wouldn't he? But he had been allower to transfer late too, so maybe school would make an exception there as well.

Shizuka caught the ball, idly turning it in her hands and walking towards the exit. "Yeah, I'm done here I suppose." She really was kind of exhausted, and that meant she needed rest and the gym wasn't exactly the place someone should stay at to get some rest, so they might as well leave right away.

Reaching to turn the gym lights out (he'd noted the switch position on the way in because he thought that information would become useful at a later stage), he opened up the door for Shizuka, standing there as he let her out before closing it behind them both. The night air was cool and crisp - if felt nice on his skin, though someone with less body mass might consider it to be cold.

With that thought he turned to Shizuka and asked the question. "Are you cold?" He had a jacket after all and he wasn't wearing it. So if she was cold he could always let her wear that.

The cool air when stepping outside was really nice, especially after all that running she had just done. Her mother had always said going out when it was cold after having sweated a lot would make her sick, but so far that hadn't happened, so she didn't really have any worries there, although one of her brothers had gotten sick once after doing that, and that really hadn't been much fun, because he kept whining about having to stay in bed, but she wasn't her brother after all, so she wouldn't get sick, and it wasn't far to the dorms anyway

Sizuka shook her head. "I'm not cold." She might turn cold if she stayed out too long, but right now this was nicely helping her cool off... though she wondered if Inui-senpai was cold if he asked that, they should probably hurry back then...

Putting his jacket over his shoulder so both of his hands were free, Inui nodded, not particularly in any hurry, though his strides did allow him to get places rather quickly should he feel the need. "As long as your body doesn't cool down too rapidly, you will be fine. Though if you get goosebumps, you should probably put something on." he advised, once again responding to the girl's mumbles.

"I couldn't allow you to get sick when I've only just begun to help train you. There would be no sense in that." he added as they walked, bouncing the ball between his legs from hand to hand to keep himself busy and also warm enough so he wouldn't cool down too quickly.

"I won't get sick." Getting sick was silly and just meant someone was not taking well enough care of their body, and if people did that then it was their own fault for being stupid enough to do that. Besides, if she got sick she couldn't train, even if she wanted to and that would be even more stupid than just getting sick, so she refused to get sick. Besides, how could one get sick when it were barely five minutes up to the drorms anyway, someone who managed that realy would have to have a wear immune system...

"As long as you are sure." Inui replied casually, the sound of the ball bouncing evenly keeping their pace as they walked. Soon enough, they had arrived at the dorms and Inui automatically reached out to open the door for Shizuka again. His mother had always taught him that it was polite to hold doors open for people, especially since Inui was so big. Inui didn't understand what size had to do with it, but it had become a habit of his to do this.

"Be sure to give your arms a good stretch out before you go to sleep. The last thing you need is to be stiff in the morning." Even Inui found that if he didn't stretch out his arms after training, they were sore in the morning when he went to run. "Oh, and incidentally, what class are you in? I will drop by your training menu tomorrow before it starts." After all, coming to the girls dorms wasn't something he could do on a regular basis - Inui thought that would be frowned upon. Though, walking her back at night, he found to be acceptable, because his mother had also taught him not to let nice girls he knew walk home alone when it was dark. That was a given, in the neighbourhood he was from.. they'd get mugged in an instant.

Stretching was something she had learned about back in her old school as well, though only after she had managed to get really sore after her first practice session, that had really sucked, and her mother had scolded her for being so careless and then told her about stretching, which had made a lot of sense, and it was kind of stupid that they hadn't been told about that at school, but maybe they had just assumed that everyone knew how to do that anyway...

"Ah, thank you... I'm in 2-2..." Though wasn't that really bothersome for Inui-senpai, if he had to go to her class just to bring her the menu, he could just as well email it or something, but then maybe there were some things he would have to explain to her too, so it made sense if Inui-senpai brought them over, but she could just come and pick them up as well, since Inui-senpai already had all the work with creating the menu. But if he wanted to do that then she shouldn't argue, he was a senpai after all, so she had to respect his wishes and everything, her mother had taught her.

Noting which class she was in, Inui nodded, leaning his large body against the door he was holding slightly. "It is no problem, there will be things that I need to explain and if I remember correctly, isn't it frowned upon for lowerclassmen to go to the upperclassmen classrooms? Of course it isn't if you are invited there or have an older sibling, but it is much easier for me to come and give it to you." he stated.

"Hmm, I see, then..." Though she couldn't remember having been frowned at when she went to the senpai's floor, but then again her mother had always said she was way too distracted and would never ever notice when she did something wrong, even though she was sure that was not true, because if she did something wrong then surely someone would tell her, because if they didn't then it was their fault and not hers, and she hadn't been scolded for going up there... at least she shouldn't remember she had been, but maybe she just forgot too. Not that it was important, because if Inui-senpai said so then it was probably true, because he was a senpai after all and had to know these things. Nodding to herself she stepped in, giving Inui-senpai a little bow. "Thank you for helping me, Inui-senpai."

"It's fine, Shizuka-chan. I don't mind." Inui said with another affirming nod before straightening up. "I'll see you in the morning." With that he gave a backwards wave over one of his shoulders and started to head back in the direction of the boy's dorms, thinking about what things he should give priority on her training menu.
