Date: Current - 19th of June
Rating: erm, PG-13? For nakedness?
Summary: Confusion here and there, a bit of shamelessness, finally a conclusion and clearing the misunderstandings, all with considerate amounts of fluff?. Which reads as: Tezuka and Sengoku meet at the gym again, and leave together *headdesk* XD;

Sengoku wasn’t avoiding the director after that Friday. It just so happened that they hadn’t run into each other all during the week. The weekend had been rather pleasant, peacefully lazy… no work, no paperwork, no nothing. Which gave him an occasion to rest up, and go to work on Monday full of energy. It’d surely last him till the end of the week.

Cheerfully, as always, but today a bit more, the redhead marched into the gym. Water bottle and towel in bandaged hands, black shorts and mossy green, sleeveless T-shirt. Headband keeping his hair in place, and the usually smile gracing his lips. Oh yes, Kiyosumi was definitely in a good mood. But he paused after opening the door. Inside, like always, Tezuka was jogging on the treadmill. Well, that was one thing he forgot about, that the man used the gym often at the same days and hours as he did. Oh well… The pause was only brief, and shouldn't be noticed by someone who wasn't paying attention, and Kiyosumi stepped in, with natural confidence, deciding that whatever had to happen, would.

Eyes closed as he continued to jog, Tezuka felt the serenity close over him at last. This was perhaps why he jogged so often--it let him forget for a little while that he was director of Japan's intelligence agency, and had stacks of papers miles high on his desk. His headphones turned up a little louder than usual, he didn't hear Sengoku come in, and continued his pace, left-right-left-right, breathing regularly.

Watching the other for a while, Kiyosumi let his eyes narrow slightly, and he smiled then. The relaxed expression Tezuka wore was very alluring. It wasn’t that much different from the usual, but there was that distinct peaceful quality. He wondered briefly what the man looked like when he smiled… surely stunning. Shrugging off these thoughts, he put his things on the bench and began warming up.

Perhaps it was the feel of eyes on his back, but Tezuka suddenly felt the other's presence. Instinctively, he turned, and recognized that shade of red hair. The green shirt looked good, Tezuka thought, then shook himself, and slowed a little. Turning the volume on his headphones down, he said, "Sengoku." It was an acknowledgement of the other's presence, and ... perhaps even slightly questioning.

At being noticed, Sengoku gave his best smile and a small wave, “Hello, Tezuka-san~,” and he wouldn’t be himself if he didn’t start a conversation, “How was your day?”

Slightly taken aback, Tezuka found himself nodding. "As usual. Yours?" He was making small talk with someone who'd just kissed him a week ago and hadn't met since then, Tezuka thought. What was going on?

“Good~, had a bit less work today, but last week nearly killed me~,” well, that was exaggerating lots, but whatever. Sengoku didn’t care to mention anything about the kiss just yet, there was no use, na? Tezuka didn’t seem annoyed with him, or maybe he simply forgot? Hm… now that was something the redhead wouldn’t like. That thought exactly made him walk over and lean in front of the treadmill. Chin propped up on one hand, and he smiled cheerfully, “Think we could repeat the evening from Friday sometime again~?”

It was to Tezuka's past training's credit that he did not visibly blush. Silently jogging, Tezuka debated what to answer. He'd enjoyed the night out, certainly, even if he normally didn't have much time for that sort of thing. And ... he'd liked the kiss. "All of it?" he found himself asking.

Heh, “Yup, maybe more~? If you’d like.” Kiyosumi grinned. He wasn’t sure if the other meant it with the kiss, but he took it as that, and yes… if he got a positive reaction about the peck on the cheek, then why not add more? Oh definitely, the redhead could add a bit more even now.

There had to be something about fraternizing within the ranks in the employee handbook, Tezuka was sure of it ... "We'll see," he said, non-committally. There was no point in getting one's hopes up. Even if it had been rather long since the last time he'd done anything at all.

The grin widened even more, but he decided to not do anything at the moment, to not risk the man falling off or anything like that. Surely wouldn’t be funny, thanks. “Okay.” The redhead said, and went back to his own exercises.

It was a while before Tezuka finally finished his jog, 45 minutes this time. Slowing down, he finally stepped off the treadmill. Today he'd only planned to jog. Kneeling beside his bag, Tezuka packed it, preparing to leave for the showers.

It was hot today, even in the evening, even inside, and from the exercise, the redhead was sweating a little, so he opted to take off the shirt. He noted then, the older man leaving already and frowned, “Leaving already, Tezuka-san?” Aww, really, a pity.

Turning to address Sengoku, Tezuka tried not to stare. It wasn't polite, after all. But that kiss had ... well, awakened Tezuka to some possibilities he would never have entertained before. "It's been a long day," he said, politely. He _was_ tired.

His lips pulled up a bit, but he cut down the smirk before it surfaced fully, Kiyosumi felt the gaze on him. Hmm… even though the other did try not to stare. It’d probably work for everyone else, but the redhead had been very conscious of people’s eyes, especially if they were looking at him. With a slight swing to his hips, he approached the man, “Just a little longer?” he said, tilting his head cutely, “We can leave together?” Arms going up, fingers lacing behind the other’s neck. Mm, deathwish, eh~?

Pulling back, Tezuka blinked down at the other, surprised mostly at being approached, since he hadn't expected it at all. Leave together? It was late, but the trains were still running for another hour at least. He tried not to think about how his breath quickened, and nodded. "Fine." Perhaps Sengoku would let go, and Tezuka would be able to shower. He'd wait for the other in the locker room instead.

With a sweet smile, the redhead pushed himself up on his tiptoes, his lips coming in contact with the other cheek now. This time for a bit longer, pulling away, he winked and sashayed back to where he would cool down and stretch.

Blinking again, Tezuka watched Sengoku go before shaking himself mentally. Wordlessly, he turned, leaving for the showers. He decided he didn't know, and perhaps it was better that he didn't. As he left, his hand came up, pressing the corner of his lips where Sengoku's kiss had landed. It was almost close enough to taste the other man, who'd smelled of sweat but had looked so alluring. Tezuka wondered if those eyes were naturally green or coloured contacts.

It took him 15 minutes to finish, and the redhead collected his things. Tezuka wasn’t in the locker room, but his things were still there, so he figured the other was still in the shower. Oh well, hopefully he would really wait.

Quickly, Sengoku undressed, packing his things and took out another towel, and flung it over his shoulder, and shower gel/shampoo. Mm… both almond scented, his favourite scent… not too strong, but distinct enough.

Spirits restored after a good shower, Tezuka opened the door from the showers leading into the locker room, shower bag in hand. He wasn't expecting the sight that greeted him, though, and he stopped short, trying not to gape at the sight of Sengoku, naked, with just a towel slung over his shoulders. Trying not to look (he'd always felt it strange when other people looked at him, and made it a point not to frequent public baths), Tezuka nodded awkwardly, quickly walking past Sengoku to his own locker.

Mm, oh… Sengoku wasn’t aware of his own nakedness most of the time, but at the same time didn’t like people staring at him, which always happened. And usually, he would wrap the towel around his waist, somehow though… he didn’t mind it now. There was no blush on his cheeks, as the other man walked in, the redhead just nodded back with a smile. Not at all bothered.

The shower wasn’t the shortest one. There was hair to be taken care of, ehh… and it always needed a bit of special attention. But it wasn’t the longest one either, as Kiyosumi was aware that they needed to catch a train. He toweled himself dry, and once again entered the locker room, the dark green fabric over his hair, and again not at all bothered with his state of declothing. “5 more minutes.” To get dressed and pack. He wouldn’t bother with drying it now.

Tezuka nodded, again averting his eyes and trying not to stare. He knew Sengoku took care of his body--he ran into the other often enough in the gym. Besides, he'd seen all he needed to see, and remembered it. Biting his lips, Tezuka instead guided his mind into mundane matters like the reports he'd need to cover the next day. He would not think about how well most shades of green matched Sengoku's pale skin or red hair.

Dressing as quickly as he could, Sengoku gave his hair few more brushes with the towel and he packed everything. Picking up his bag, and flinging it over his shoulder, he swirled around with a bright grin, “Ready?”

Nodding Tezuka stood, his own bag packed. He gestured for Sengoku to lead.

And Kiyosumi did, walking in front of the other, “I’d offer drinks again today,” he said, and promptly yawned, “But… I think it’s a bit late, eh~,” even though he’d love to spend some more time in the other’s company.

"Aa," Tezuka said in agreement. He was tired, too, and relieved that Sengoku wasn't about to ask him out for drinks again. Even if that was a tiny bit of disappointment he felt.

“Some other time, definitely,” once outside of the complex, he took the other’s man arm again, walking next to him, instead. “Ah, we’re lucky though~,” a cheerful (but a bit tired) grin, “at this time of the evening the trains shouldn’t be as crowded,” oh great, no perverts. “One of advantages of leaving later than everyone.”

Tezuka wondered briefly if he should ask Sengoku to let go of his arm--they were in public view! Japan wasn't homophobic, not by a long stretch, but at his position he daren't afford to be careless. At the same time, if he asked Sengoku to let go, it might offend the other. So Tezuka pressed his lips together and willed himself to say nothing, and instead nodded to Sengoku's statement, not offering one of his own. He didn't have anything much to say to that, but it _was_ a plus point that at least took some of the sting off working so late.

Yawning again, free hand coming up to cover his mouth, “Then again, don’t know about you, but I don’t care about after hours,” he gave a shrug, “nothing much awaits me at home.” Though it wasn’t to say that he minded heh. “Buuut~ soon, ‘m gonna get a kitten, so will be probably less inclined to stay long hours.” A deep chuckle followed, he didn’t mind talking when the other person was quiet and didn’t offer any words in return. The most important was for the other to listen, and he hoped Tezuka did.

A kitten? Tezuka didn't much think he'd be a good pet-owner, since he was never at home. Any pets would be sorely neglected. But it sounded like Sengoku was looking forward to it. "Hn," he said, acknowledging the information. He wondered what sort of kitten it was, and whether Sengoku had experience with kittens before.

As if reading the other’s mind, the redhead continued, “It’s ginger, with green eyes~,” he laughed, clearly amused, “and a boy~, really cute.” The walk to the train station wasn’t a long one, and soon enough they reached it, with Kiyosumi rattling away about most random things. They paid the fees and got on the last train of the day. Lucky~ and there were even free seats. Sengoku plopped down on one, and pulled the other down as well. Once comfortably seated, he rested his head on Tezuka’s shoulder and closed his eyes… intending to take a nap.

Stiffening a little when Sengoku laid his head on Tezuka's shoulder, Tezuka quickly scanned the rest of the train. No one else seemed to be watching them, though, and he relaxed a little bit. "Aren't you moving rather quickly?" he said, softly, so only Sengoku could hear.

Huh? Waitwaitwait… What? Should he do it in slow-motion or something? He raised his head again, and stared at Tezuka baffled, “Eh?” His sleepy brain was still processing the question-oh! Smiling sweetly, he apologized and leaned his head back, onto the window. Uh, not as comfortable as the other’s shoulder, but oh well…

Sighing, Tezuka relented silently. "If you must," he murmured softly.

“Not if it makes you this uncomfortable,” the redhead murmured in the same tone.

"You'll excuse my paranoia," Tezuka said, shifting a little stiffly. "I ... this is new, and perhaps a little too soon." Even previous encounters had been long, drawn-out, and progressed slowly. Tezuka was careful, had always needed to be.

Humming quietly in the back of his throat, Kiyosumi opened his eyes again straightening his neck, “I apologize then,” he said, offering an honest smile. “My words might mean nothing to you, but I have no hidden intentions.” For all his playing with people, once someone caught his eye, he could be serious and always cut down on mind games.

Offering the other a slight smile, Tezuka nodded to show he understood. "Thank you," he said, softly, feeling grateful to the other for not pushing the issue that night. Perhaps another night out, this time his treat. Maybe he would ask the next time they met in the gym.

Oh, and he was really happy that he caught the sight of that smile. As slight as it was, but… Kiyosumi realized that he must have been right. Tezuka would look stunning if he smiled more. He decided not to comment though, to not lose another chance to be graced with such. Sliding down in the seat, so that his neck rested against the backrest, a bit uncomfortable, but oh well, “Wake me up when it’s our stop,” he murmured and closed his eyes again. This time really intending to nap.

Nodding, Tezuka settled down for the ride. At the very least ... perhaps Sengoku would be another friend ... maybe more.

sengoku, tezuka
