I just don't get it
I can't for the life of me figure out why so many people love The Hold Steady. I've heard about 10 of their songs, and frankly, I've never been impressed. I've given them alot of time to get into my system, as some music can do. I think I've done everything short of going to one of their shows or buying an album to try and understand this. Maybe I'm just getting too old to get into what all the cool kids are listening to these days. I know that more than a few of you on my friends list are big fans, and I was hoping that maybe some of you might want to volunteer some insights as to why people think they rock. Because I'd rather listen to Jens Lekman anyday.
