Decreptitude's Grasp...

Jun 07, 2005 11:48

My miserly, yet incredibly wealthy grandparents decided to take me out for dinner last night; for reasons known only to them...

We went to a restaraunt populated by what I'd describe as the living dead. Decrepit senior citizens wallowing in their good fortune and providence like pigs in the mud.

Nothing constructive or meaningful ever comes from these people; they spend each evening like the last, making worthless chit-chat with a grinning maitre d', ordering lavish cocktails and filet mignon, longing for their youth and vigor; for the chance to grasp, just for an instant, a feeling of worth.

Needless to say my grandparents were right at home...
