AU Infos
AU is Fallout 3. Takes place either before or during events of the game, but since its AU things are shifted around to add DN chars and their actions. Matt never meets (or is aware of meeting, at least) the Lone Wanderer.

Born and bred Wastelander. Parents killed by raiders when young, taken in by a traveling caravan (gravitated towards messing with junk then). Met Mello through them and ended up wandering off with him.
Eventually 'settled' in Megaton. Works as an assistant to Moira, but is mostly out of town testing things or collecting junk/parts. Still meets up with Mello, but he doesn't come to Megaton much.
Considers himself a "Scavenger."
Tends to sneak around and snipe enemies.
Addicted to mentas (even though he doesn't need it, lol). Smokes occasionally, but only in cities/other safe places (cherry kind of gives away position).
Normal equipment:
Sniper Riffle, Laser Riffle, 10mm Pistol. Pseudo-Pipboy (Made it himself! Studied a small number of real ones (mostly broken) before doing so. Does not always work.) Lots of ammo.
Wears a longish (goes to about midway between hip and knee) thick jacket with lots of pockets (mostly on the inside) over leather armour and combat boots. Goggles, of course. Goggle lenses are still yellow, tends to dress mostly in browns (or grey stripes).
In the dressing room, his outfit is as above but he's limited to a hunting riffle he tends to carry slung over his back.
