that is the joy of cameras like the SX-70 and the SLR 680 (which i think this pic was taken with.. you can manually focus your shots! sadly, the film that these cameras use has been discontinued this year.. i'm not sure what that means yet, for Postmarks...

funny, we've never actually met. (is this a Postmarks secret? oooh.) but someday, someday..

we first connected here on livejournal. i'm sure ben remembers how, but my memory is terrible. i'm sure i've asked him five times already.

i'd love to make a post, to learn how everyone watching us found out about Postmarks!

i don't quite remember who found who first, or from what friend... but i do remember the first time we really said anything to each other. you sent me an email out of the blue, full of kind and friendly words, signed charlie, and we seemed to click from there *s* i wish i still had it, but it was lost on my old non-mac. ah well. and then you posted that phone number for people to leave you voice mail, and i started leaving little music snippets for you. and then you actually *called me back* heh.

oh, wow. i kind of miss having that voicemail number, and i do (now) remember the music snippets. and of course i'll always remember our conversations in the peanut butter aisle.

actually, i do care *s* i haven't had french since middle school, so i'm something much much much less than fluent. i was depending on an initial mac translation (which i know is not to be trusted) and then the kind assistance of lj friends who speak french.

but, as long as the general idea is clear, i'll be happy. the little quirks and mistakes are what make things personal and interesting, aren't they?
