Saw the AO3 hit count meme on my flist & thought I'd finally do it.

I'm not that surprised that blinded by my fate, i could not prevent your fall is the top one - I wrote this for Yuletide 2011, and whilst I didn't really see it recced at the time (except for one, from someone who always recs fics from this fandom/for this pairing), it got a good reception at the time, and it's been a consistently well-received fic of mine since. I'd go so far as to say that it's one of my best fics.
I didn't expect but in the end, still this to come second, but I guess that's what happens when one writes in a popular fandom, and Sherlock/Mycroft has definitely become a fairly popular pairing, especially compared to when I first started shipping it.
The presence of a lot of Achilles/Patroklos fics in there really surprised me. I hadn't realized that there's such a...demand for them, I guess. I mean, it's consistently a pairing requested for Yuletide, and for the longest time I felt like the only person who was writing them...maybe I really had been for a time, lol. Although Stardust coming at #6 is surprising, because I had believed, for a long time, that it's the best fic I've ever written, and even tagged it with 'If you only read one fic by me'. blinded's reception sort of made me think that maybe blinded belongs up there, too, but I still maintain that Stardust is my other best fic, so idrg. I guess people want different things than what I write? (Although the tone of the two fics are very similar, and the ending as well, both the type of sparse, sad fic that ends with a...bang(? I guess), so....)
I didn't expect my little HunterxHunter & Psych drabbles in there at all - I do know that there are very few fics written for HxH, though, and it might be the same case for Psych, so I guess that's why.
Also surprised that took the long way, because i knew you would be there made it. I had always thought that Manu/Benni isn't really a popular ship, so I didn't think that there would be demand, I guess, lol. Although that fic is totally self-indulgent and not really what most people would be looking for, I think (as is probably the case with the way I ship most of my pairings, lol).
And I guess now I should do this again next year and see if anything changes. XD
Also...idrg the complaints about lj's new layout? But then I'm one of those people who pretty much never complain when websites change their design/layout and will pretty much just adjust right away. XPPPPP
