There is never enough gen!Mannschaft fic in this universe! Some of the slash fic that exists isn't that bad either, but to find good gen!fic is so hard! Hats off to those who can pull that off.
Don't worry, I may be a writing major, but I cannot pull off any form of creative writing :/

I wish more people would write genfic of the boys! I don't really slash any of them, so it's doubly frustrating. :| (I'll read slashfic of some pairings to fill my craving for fic, but for me there's a bit of reality is already so amazing, there's no need to add slash into the mix! XD;;;)

And hahahahah yes. They are my one true bromance, so Benni getting called up (and he's starting tomorrow!!! THE TWO OF THEM ON THE SAME PITCH AGAIN :'D) is like my favourite thing ever, lol. Why do I have to like the angsty ones XD

I adore Manu & Benni to death...so much so that I am watching old Schalke games in order to be able to write fic about them lolololololol orz. But I'm worried that butthurt Schalkers are going to boo Manu or whistle at him, tbh. :( Though that'll be nothing when he plays for Bayern there against Schalke :|
Benni is really good, and then sometimes he makes mistakes that just makes me cringe. Of course, all of them make mistakes; they are only human, after all! But you know the haters are just going to use that as an excuse to say why he shouldn't be called up. It's the same thing with Holger - every little thing he does wrong becomes a 'this is why he shouldn't be on the team/starting' :|

Holger makes mistakes too, but I still think he's a better defender for the NT on the whole. Mats seems to be very good for Dortmund, but he hasn't impressed me as much as Holger has for the NT. I hope Jogi sticks with Holger though, or maybe pair him with Mats if they end up having good chemistry.
Chemistry's so important for CBs. Per or Arne aren't fantastic on their own but they're great when paired together :D

You read that Basti was really disheartened about the whistling when they played against Kazakhstan, right? That is just downright rude. Why would you not support your team through thick and thin? When they aren't doing so well, that's when they most need support!
Holger definitely makes mistakes, but he's also so ridiculously young, so I believe in him. :') (lol but really, that applies to pretty much all of them. XD;;;) And well, Mats has Neven Subotic with him in Dortmund, so. XD;;;; The Mats/Holger pairing seemed to work well last game, though! And I totally agree about the chemistry - love love love Per and Arne together. I would like to see a Benni/Mats pairing just because I want to see why all the girls on here rave about it...but we really do need a RB more at the moment, lol. XD;;;;
