So the other day I bought three bunches of spinach for £1, and I've been eating spinach for the past few days. This led me to remember how in the US, spinach is constructed as 'the nasty vegetable that every kid hates'. I can't remember a vegetable being accorded similar status in China (though who knows, maybe in recent times one has earned that ( Read more... )

Awww XD How do you usually have cabbage, though? I like mine half-way to burnt, if that makes sense, and crunchy. XDDDD

Is brussels sprouts that common in Canada? *curious* I certainly never really saw it in the US! And ooh broccoli, interesting!

Green beans are super hit-and-miss with me, usually miss. :|

I've had it once...and found it very :| But I was also like ten years younger at the time XD

I'd try it again, but...I don't want to buy a whole one, just in case. XD I'll just have to wait for the next time someone orders it or something, haha.

Blah, I had it when I was about 7/8 so definitely not a fun experience, but I think I'm okay with never trying it again too. I also have a weird thing against cooked spring onions and cooked carrots.

Brussels sprouts. Which I love. But my bf won't let me even cook them while he's in the house.

He can't stand the smell. Which I find odd as I didn't actually realise they had a smell.

In Scotland. I don't know about in Israel...

I didn't realize they had a smell, either!

And interesting! I haven't gotten that vibe here in England, but maybe it's because I'm not around children...

I love all vegetables except for mushrooms (I get carb bloat/sluggishness and I don't like meat and have a massive sweet tooth so almost all I eat is vegatables, fruit and desserts. I like to pretend it balances out as healthy!) but I think near me it's peas which makes no sense to me!

it's amazing, maybe I'll have some for tea!

(for example, today I had a pear and an apple for breakfast, cheese salad for lunch and I've just had a nectarine and a coconut cake thingy.)
