Wow, fandom, please stop acting like you're oppressed. You know what you remind me of? The H/Hr shippers who claimed they were all OMG!oppressed. I'm not saying that what LJ/Six Apart did was right, but fandom is not in the minority and is not oppressed. Talk to me about being oppressed when you are actually persecuted for speaking your mind.
And all of you who demand the right to write incest/shota/chan/etc. but vehemently insist that paedophiles are automatically monsters, fuck off. Who would want to be a paedophile? No one in his/her right mind, that's who. Only paedophiles who actively prey on children need to be chastised. Those who don't? They need help and support groups, not to be condemned. Anyone who says RAWR FOX IS EBIL but trusts the other mainstream media sources? Please. Just look at the ownership of the companies, the constituency of the journalists, and then tell me how anything is any different. Maybe there's a reason I don't read/watch the mainstream news.
If only it was easier to access independent news.
