now for a real entry

Mar 03, 2003 14:55

well, i haven't made a real actual entry in a while, so here goes.

well, let see. i'm too lazy to go check and see what the last thing i wrote was, so i'll just start from wherever my memory takes me.

friday.

so i told my boss about me leaving on thursday night, so friday morning was just me explaining to everyone why i was leaving. which is really just a lot of bullshit. i moved to athens for two simple reasons. i enjoy being there, and emily(spyderpixie).

everything about athens is just like atlanta, but better/smaller. the clubs are better. the restaurants are better. the roads and highways are better. there is less crime. less pollution. less pollen. i feel most myself in athens. i feel at home there. i feel like i belong.

and emily. there is a lot to say about her, but i can't really say it. suffice to say that she's 1 of only 2 reasons i moved to athens. and i don't mean to say that carrie didn't have anything to do with it, but i spent a lot of time with carrie already in atlanta, so that's not a really good reason. nor am i trying to downplay ellis' role as a deciding factor, but since she's leaving, again, not an incredibly logical reason to move somewhere, ya know? (much love, elly. mwah) but emily. i have so much fun hanging out with her, and she makes me watch anime, and listen to good britpop. it's worth the cost of living in athens to be closer to such a good friend.

if only i could make her happier. *sigh* let me move on, before i get in trouble. ;]

so anyway. friday night. we (carrie and i) invited jason (drummer in our band) and jimmy (ex-drummer from our old band) to come up to tasty world and see the close and dj twin powers. well, unfortunately, jimmy couldn't come up because he was forced to work waaaay late, and jason's friends didn't show up to his house until waaaay late, so he missed the close, and ended up just skippin' around the town, so we didn't really get a chance to hang out. oh well. the close fuckin' rocked my socks off. i love those kids. and apparently after their set, uncle took them back to tivoli for some shade deal of some sort that i haven't figured out, or care to even guess about. whatever. dustin messed w/ our magnetic poetry, and that rools the night.

and as you might have read in silverfuck's entry, we met the "beautiful girl". and boy is she! lawdy. she was so frickin' nice, too. i told her that i liked her jacket, and she was so nice! i was expecting her to just say "thanks" and keep walking, but she was like "oh, that means so much to me!" etc. etc. she introduced herself as erica, but we'll continue to call her "beautiful girl" or "january" on lj, i'm sure. so i guess ellis and i can start saying hey to her at shows. it would be so weird if she became one of our friends. creepy. =]

afterwards, since no one was coming back to the house, we just went home and went to bed. *snore*

saturday

dood. saturday was the bomb diggity! carrie went to work at 5 ( =[ ), so i went over to emily's shortly thereafter, and we ate a HUGE, i mean HUGE dinner. rice. tofu. corn. eggplant. and vegan michelle's vegan oatmeal vegan cookies that are vegan. man. i was stuffed. we then watched evangelion! woo! episode 18, i think? it was so awesome. my favorite so far. rarr!

i picked up carrie at 10:15, and we went back to the hizzy. uncle and elly were at interpol. we didn't go because the raveonettes weren't going to be there, and we're broke. =[ oh well. i wish we would've gone, but we'll see them the next time through. well, after uncle got back, we called elly, and she was sad, so she came over. <3 she didn't/doesn't want to talk about it, and that's fine. so we just watched crazy sideburns-guy on the david bowie dvd, and laughed at "ass pirate bowie and his amazingly restricted crotch". it was great. *snore again*

sunday

man. sunday was busy as hellity hell hell. got up around 9:30, and took nicole back to her dorm because uncle matt had slept thru his alarm, so he was late and couldn't take her home.

upon returning, i had to take carrie-bear to work, so me and elly took her. we decided that hanging out with emily is fun, so after a short shower, we sailed over there and picked her up. we went downtown to go eat at bluebird cafe, and i used my credit card for the second time. ouch. oh well, i guess that's the only way i'm going to be able to build some good credit. =] i had saag and *gasp* a biscuit. sorry my vegan friends. it was good. *rubs tummy*

so my mom calls and says she's going to be in town at around 3:30, so we just walked around for a bit and briefly hung out at schoolkids records. my mom got there, and we went to mellow mushroom.

we visited carrie (for the 3rd time that day. yeesh! =]), and drove up and down milledge at looked at all the pretty frat houses and such. then we got carrie. god, i'm sorry sunday was kinda boring. =] later last nite, i went up to carmike to see if emmy was around, but unfortunately she was working projection, so i couldn't visit w/ her. i did, however, get to see sally and talk for a sec ( <3 ), and play turkey hunter. muhahahaha. =]

and here it is Monday afternoon. sorry if that was really long and boring.

doo doo doo doo DUN DUN!!
