SUMMARY: Batman pursues the Joker, and tries to save a life.
The Joker. The last person he wanted to see or deal with right now, but with him on the loose, not only was the hostage's life at stake, but the lives of everyone in Seattle. There was no way he would be able to sit by and let him run loose...
Bruce entered the sewers from three blocks off; there was no way to know what traps the Joker had set for him along the way, and the amount of methane gas below the streets was dangerous by itself, so he wore a breathing mask. The Joker was as dangerous and unpredictable as he was insane-- a cocktail of crazy just waiting to go off. The whiteout lenses of his mask flicked over to infrared and a tiny line monitored the levels of gas in soft blips. Right now, The Joker had home field advantage... but here in the dark, Batman was at home. It was time for these two forces of nature to collide again.
