"If you want, I can have you on a train to Seattle within the hour. But Batman seems to have disappeared for a while, so don't expect to see much of him." Tim paused and looked at Damian. "Who are you, anyway?"

"I hope Bruce turns up sometime soon, then." If he'd known exactly how that hope would turn out, he would've chosen his words more carefully.

"He's alive? Here?" Damian asked hopefully. Well. Of course his father was alive. They'd proved that. Was this journey a consequence of his return? "Have you seen him?"

He crossed the room, crouching and pulling a long flat case out from beneath the battered couch. "Did they take anything important from you?"
The case appeared to hold books, mostly older-looking paperbacks with 70s colors on the covers. Tim reached beneath them and opened up the hidden compartment, lifting the books out of the way like a swinging shelf. Beneath was a small arsenal and various gadgets. Nothing impressive Tim himself looked annoyed but what he'd managed to gather so far.

Tim took out a pair of night vision goggles, replaced the books, and shut the case. "I don't know when my roommates'll be back, but don't attack them. One's a pyrokinetic and the other is made of rock. If you're hungry, we can go out." Because if he didn't like his accommodations, he probably wasn't going to like whatever was in the fridge. "If not," he flicked his gaze up, regarding Damian with cool amusement, "we can train on the rooftop."
