A promise was a promise. No matter how much he desperately wanted to avoid this issue, the advice he'd been given was to actually deal with the suit, not avoid it. As much as he desperately would like to sit and pretend it didn't exist, that wasn't a plausible solution. He'd long shrugged off the studies in avoidance, in most respects at least. He recognized that there were still some areas which he preferred to avoid what would be seen as required, however, he would do this.

It was, as much as he loathed to admit it, necessary. If he didn't want the suit to become violent, or try any of the tricks it had tried last time, he had to bit the bullet and just do it. He called Iron Man to the roof, and just stood on the edge of the building, looking over New York.

It wasn't the view he was used to. Here he was practically street level, his view obscured by the mass of buildings and smog. It wasn't the soft din of traffic and faint voices that he was used to either. It was loud. Here every car horn, every shout was grating, as loud as if it were right in his ear. Normally, it was a whisper from his penthouse, ambient noise that reminded him he was still in the city.

If he were to be honest with himself, he wanted this as much as Iron Man did. No, not the need to be with the suit. If it weren't around, he could have had a temporary beta already up and running, but he had to handle this carefully. He needed to be in the sky. He needed to be out and free.

With the suit, he had a feeling this would feel more like a prison with a view.
