WHAT: BATS.
WHERE: Truth or Consequences

WARNINGS: Bats.
SUMMARY: Bruce is a creeper. Damian is a creeper. Creepers gonna creep.
Truth or Consequences was nothing like home. It would never be anything like home. Still, crime was crime and duty was duty. They couldn't shirk it; so long as there was a need for the Bats, they would patrol. And no, crime was nowhere near as plentiful in the desert as it was in good ol' Gotham, but Steph insisted that they patrol regularly anyway.
She wasn't sure what Damian would do with himself if he didn't have something nearing their version of normality. So, no matter how tired she was at the end of the day, or how drained she felt after double shifts, she wriggled into her costume and took to the streets alongside her partner.
It took its toll, though. She knew it, and knew that it was obvious, even if Damian didn't point it out. She missed things she wouldn't have before.
Like the fact that they'd been trailed for most of the night, for one.
