she has watched the people around her rise and fall, watched them walk onto a battlefield and watched them walk off it. she has seen all that there is to see. she arrived here with james's blood on her hands and only a few moments ago she heard his voice over the network.
this is not permanent. this can be taken away. but that doesn't stop her from getting herself to new mexico as quickly as humanly possible, and that in itself is still not fast enough. part of her wonders how quickly this will be gone again, and part of her doesn't believe it's really happening.
