SUMMARY: Whatever happened to Mayor Richard Bradley Banks IV? His funding projects? Import support in NYC? What's the deal with this world's mutants that had started to pop up before the shit hit the fan? And how the hell can these two make their charitable organization even functional now that the import hate is back full force? WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO.
Despite finally able to actually start some form of business in Truth or Consequences, Warren still felt really off and unsteady about it. There had still been no sign of Dick around, the Capekillers had been quiet, and, hell, no one had even tried to arrest him or interrogate him over the death of this world's Warren Worthington III. All of this was very troubling to Warren, and that only added to the stress of being branded, being hated and feared by the public once more, and the fact that his business was only seeing small trickles of clientele.
Well with Dick gone, he wasn't exactly going to have anyone to fund him should things start going downhill. All Warren had to fall back on was that monthly paycheque he saw from Annie Prendergast--who was also suspiciously quiet these days--and that was just enough to pay the rent and bills.
So Warren felt it necessary to go and see his business partner and, for the most part, his advisor when it came to all things budget and organization. Bobby made for a great accountant, but Gert did even more than that for him and that was why he opted to speak with her instead. The woman just had a knack for making things happen with him. When he got to her apartment window, he gave a quick knock on the glass and hovered outside until he got an answer from her.
