all my cares just drift right into space )
He landed soundlessly on the rooftop a few feet away from Cypher. To the side, not the back. When he walked up, he didn't want it to be too big a surprise. Although, with these metas - wait, mutans, didn't they call themselves? - you never knew how much they perceived right off.
"Thanks for coming," he said, crossing the distance between them.

"Hi. It's nothing, my schedule is very flexible, and you've made me curious."
He turns and moves away from the edge of the roof, trying to learn caution. "What did you want to talk about?"

"I recovered the tech Tony had been building to make a network the Capekillers can't follow. Hank agreed to help me get it up and running, and Batman knows about it. You can...talk to machines, can't you? I'm not sure what we need to do to get it going, but I'm pretty sure it's all finished. It's pretty out there. I wouldn't be surprised if Tony added something extra into it, but hell if I know what it would be. Could just be paranoia."

"I talk to machines-- I talk to everything. I'm a traditional programmer, as well. If Stark left anything undone, I can finish it. That's...essentially the task I was set to back home, anyway."
He fidgets uneasily, wishing Dani or Sam were here. "I want to help. Who else will use it? Those you named, or can the X-Men have access? I certainly understand the need for discretion."
Reply
"I haven't decided who all should know. If everyone knows, we'll be discovered, and I don't want that. There are an awful lot of X-Men, aren't there? If you think they're trustworthy, it should be okay. We have to be careful, though. Who knows how closely they're really watching us."
