Sam flew most of the way to Dani's location, but even he knew how to be stealthy, so he landed quite a few ways away, and walked the rest of the distance to where Dani told him to meet her. He walked up and smiled a little when he saw her, and approached.

"Hey there," he greeted, and looked around. "Aw, this already looks great."

Dani straightened and waved her greeting. Looking around and nodding, she said "Yeah, it's got a lot of good things going for it. The space outside alone could give us enough room to run a couple of maneuvers with Bobby or 'Mara."

She gestured him inside. "We need some ideas for what to do inside."

He walked in with her, looking around at the area. "We'll need some kinda tech, for sure, but we gotta keep this under wraps," he nodded. "What are you thinking? Basic combat for the indoors, and power play for outdoors? It'd be way better if we're gonna practice flyin' to be inside so we don't attrack to much attention, though."

"Yeah, I was thinking that Doug could help us out with the tech stuff. We need some sort of simulator to practice the tactics on something. But I don't know how long it would take him to come up with something. But maybe we can help. Practice on each other in the meantime." She nodded, "You've got me on the basic layout. We can rotate every now and then to change up the challenge."

She headed over to the other end of the building, to get a feel for the space. Looking up at the ceiling she called out, "Is that enough space up top for the flyers? We can just keep it simple if we're going to just use this place to focus on team-training."

She walked back and grinned. "Pretty easy to slip back into these team habits."

"Hold on," he grinned at her, looking up. Sam pushed the goggles down from in his hair, letting them fall on his face so he could get a better look. Then, very silently he jetted up, not allowing his blast field to throw him up, but only circle his legs in a dull glow of orange and red. He flew up as high as he could go, then landed back down.

"Ah'd say there's easy enough space, but Ah won't wouldn't worry about it enough. Bobby and Ah are the only flyers here, so we can practice up pretty high on our own if we need to really test and go into it," he pointed out, still keeping the goggles on. "What Ah really do want to focus on is the combat part of our training at first. An' maybe if we get Ric and Sally on this whole deal, you can help out with trainin' with 'em? Sally's way too power based, and Ric's depowered like you. But until we know their answers, let's focus on makin' up some simulations just for us."

"No Star?" Dani asked wryly. "I'm pretty sure he'd be interested in training with us too."

She nodded and sent him a smile, agreeing with his assessment of Ric and Sally. "If they're up for it, I can work on a training plan. Refine a bunch of our field tactics to add them into the formations."

Dani paused for a moment. "We're talking about us like an actual squad. An active squad while we're here in this universe."

She shook her head, "Well, we have to do something about Manuel anyway."

"He can if he wants. Ric is just a maybe idea, too, since they're with X-factor. Ah ain't all sure if they're doin' anythin' here with Monet as a group," Sam shrugged as he still inspected the area. Sally was the only idea with those three he was one hundred percent sure of.

"And Ah know. But Dani--we have to do something. This world is a mess, and when are we not a team, anyways? We can do this. And we can do something about Manuel no matter what. All we gotta do is keep as quiet as possible for it."

"That's true," Dani replied. "It'd just be nice to work with them once in a while. Maybe leave it open for later?" Out of everyone, she was most curious about Ric. He knew exactly what she had gone through. Still went through. But they hadn't really talked about it.

Dani looked at Sam, considering. The world was always a mess. But she sent him a gamine grin, "Been a team longer than some of the people who've ended up here. And we didn't have a clubhouse."

"Not really," she amended. Continuing, "I understand keeping quiet from the capekillers, did you want to keep this quiet from everyone else?"

A reason why Rictor was even an option to Sam was just because of Dani, really. He knew they could help each other train probably better than anyone else out there, because there was a similar drive between them, he assumed. Whatever the case, they'd wait and see. First and foremost came their own team from home, however.

He gave her a small grin at the clubhouse comment, and nodded. "Yeah, Ah figure if we're gonna do this, we might as well keep it on the downlo as much as possible. The last thing I want is any of our friends gettin' hurt just because of us."

"Sam Guthrie, is what we are about to plan considered dangerous?" Dani asked with mock seriousness.

After a beat her eyes gleamed. "Because I completely agree. What are your thoughts about Manuel?"

"Of course it is," he grinned at her. "As for Manny, well we can't really do a thing until he acts. When he does, we're throwing his ass in jail, and maybe let Illyana visit him."

"The real problem is how to deal with his power. As soon as he even gets into a jail cell, he'd probably have the guard give him the key to let him go."

Dani tilted her head in thought, "Although Illyana would probably be able to do something about that."

"Maybe she can blind him like Pixie did," Sam suggested casually. "Or maybe we can get a telepath to help out, somehow. Ah ain't all that sure just yet."

Dani nodded thoughtfully. It would depend on how dangerous Manny proved himself to be to everyone else. They weren't going to get away with any other restrains otherwise.

"That may have to wait until we need to answer that."

She paced a little. "Okay, so we'll start training here with the team. Run through some maneuvers and sketch out a few ideas if need to respond to a threat. Think we'll need something tougher? A plan B so to speak"

"We always need a plan B, girl. Just because, y'know?" Sam nodded, watching her walk around. "Basically, with that training, we're going to hafta add power play onto our combat moves. So, we'll need to make sure we can get this place up to code for stuff like Amara's abilities and alla that. Ah think we need to get everythin' in order before we lead into plan B, though."

"All right," Dani conceded before coming to a stop and crossing her arms.

"We'll get started with a team schedule. We can switch up keeping tabs with Manny and I'll bring in what I've got from John about dealing with mind control. I think that's most of what we need to cover."

She tossed him a grin before putting her arms akimbo. "And that's why we're one of the best teams around."
