WHO: teenage Doug and pre-X-men Betsy
WHAT: Post-traumatic conversation
WHERE: The Willows, Seattle
WHEN: Monday, after Betsy's post
WARNINGS: I don't expect so?
SUMMARY: Slaymaster handed Betsy her eyes, she fell into another dimension, and now there is an anxious but well-meaning boy who will not go away. Good times.
After talking to Alison, Doug got himself to the hospital as fast as his feet could take him, only to find Betsy had already gone. He'd been shocked that they released her, if he was right about what had she'd just been through, but it sort of made sense. A hospital must be a miserable place for a telepath. No sign of Dazzler or Northstar (wearing X-Men insignia now, that was new.) Okay then. Nothing to panic about. Back to the Willows.
He snooped around until he found the most British-looking room, and rapped on the door.
"Bet-- Miss Braddock? listen-- I know you don't know me, but I just wanted to say, I'm a friend, so...if you need anything? And you don't have to be alone. Unless, you know, you want to be." That last in a quieter voice. Douglas waited there on the porch, one hand resting against the door, resisting the urge to try the handle. Please let me in. Please be okay.
