WHAT: Bucky comes to pick up Tom before he gets lost or stabbed or mugged or something. The future is scary.
WHERE: outside of the lab in ToC
WHEN: Shortly after Tom's arrival
WARNINGS: oh god I don't even know
Tom leaned against the wall outside, the heels of his boots dug into the dust and his arms crossed over his chest. He wanted to flame on and take to the skies, really take a good look at this place, but Bucky had told him to stay put in that tone that meant business. Now, he didn't always listen to Bucky---mostly because Bucky didn't always know what the right thing was to do and sometimes his plans were just plain awful---but with the strangeness of this place, he was willing to be a little less stubborn. Besides, if he said he'd be here and wasn't when Buck showed up, it might trigger his head funny. He didn't like it when that happened, so he did his best not to add to those particular stresses. His pal had it rough in their time, much less years and years into the queer future.
He sighed, looking up at the cloudless blue sky.
This place gave him no shortage of things to think about.
