Chase frowned down at her. "Bad things? And where're you staying now?" he asked, glancing up at one of the hotels that was further down the street. If there was somewhere nicer he could stay, he'd be interested. Though it wasn't the worst he'd stayed in, it was a stark contrast to Malibu. Not that it was habitable anymore.

His eyebrow did raise when Molly mentioned that Warren was looking after her but not because he was an X-Man (though that automatically dropped his trustworthy points down a couple of notches). It was because he knew the others were here--or at least some form of them, and the fact that Molly was relying on someone else was not on. Even if he had his issues, Molly would still always be high up there.

"Wait, aren't the others here?" he asked her, frowning some more. "Why aren't they looking out for you?"

Chase watched how sad she looked, and felt almost bad that he wanted nothing more to get away and get some beer and pass out so he didn't have to think about any of this. He sighed, and rubbed the back of his neck.

"I think I'm good for now. You could help me out by filling me in on the stuff that's happened to you since you got here, if you want."
