Upon entering the Black Sheep Bar in Croydon, be prepared to do the following:
1) Have ID checked.
2) Have details of ID noted down.
3) Have photograph taken.
4) Have fingerprint taken.
5) Have any other bits of information deemed relevant by the management noted down (In the case of one friend, this related to her ethnicity)
Not entirely comfortable with this. Yes, it provided a safe night out in an otherwise dodgy-as-hell area (they have set up field hospitals in the bars district for the World Cup), but I don't exactly feel comfortable with the management noting down any data they choose without any kind of visible privacy policy or data protection measures in place. And why would they need to note a friend's ethnicity? There's no real valid need for this, and it could lead to discrimination.
