Also, I'll be damned! I noticed a few years ago that I write more directly before I'm bleeding or when I'm bleeding. Turns out that estrogen levels are directly correlated to verbal ability (science backs my self-observation once again). Fascinating.

For the record, no, I do not think that gender is only a societal construct - I think much of our performative gendered traits are indeed instilled through culture (and the culture industry) but there are biological and physiological differences, especially hormonal ones, that effect gender fundamentally]
