well. i'm not denying the benefits of technology and grooming behavior and so on.

i think my curiosity is more our reasoning behind doing things these days - to me, it seems much more founded in the cursory and aesthetic than the um... well... how shall I put this without getting myself into more trouble... than the underlying reasoning. If that makes sense. It becomes habitual but more in a "what will other people think" sort of way than a "thank goodness my teeth won't rot and fall out" sort of way.

honestly, maybe, my other concern is also how extensive everything has gotten. seems like the toothbrush/toothpaste thing is great and all - but there are ways to simplify the habit. If we didn't eat so much horrible crap, our teeth wouldn't be so threatened. And 100 kinds of toothpaste and toothbrushes?

i'm not trying to be pedantic. i live in this world. i'm a slave to my computer. i brush my teeth in the morning or chew on tea tree oil cinnamon sticks before I kiss humans. i just wonder about how much we're forgetting with our common cloaks.
