We abandon this autumn
squirming under a blistering sun
convulsing in it's own tragic exploitation
of these trembling city leaves
Bleeding, creeping
on to these rodent paved streets
We greet this morning
with a somber kiss of revenge
Slicing through the caressing hands
of the pollution that molests
our swarming dreams
We lay in wait
of our vulnerable beasts of prey
hunting only the most undeserving game
Skinning the fallen kill
of their tenderness
We will leave them bitter and raw
in the snow of this biting torment of deceit
And a blossoming spring
will mourn the slaughtering
of it's peaceful heirs
