(no subject)
It's been a while since I posted here. Lots of exciting things have been happening though, the most exciting of which is having found a beautiful house to live in in Newcastle. And we shall be moving in July, which is slightly sooner than I expected, but incredibly exciting all the same. It's a HUGE house, with huge windows so it's really light, it's been recently decorated, has a new kitchen, a nice bathroom, and a spare room. Apparently it's a 'box room', so they put the house up to rent as a 4 bed rather than 5 bed. But it's easily big enough to fit a double bed, a desk and still have room left over. You just can't fit a wardrobe in it too. But shhh, don't tell the landlord. And one of the sofas in the lounge (there are 4!) folds down into a double bed. So we have plenty of room for anyone who wishes to come and stay a while!
The weekend I spent in Newcastle was awesome once again (photos on facebook). The people there are so nice, it's so easy just to get talking to them. I really can't wait to live there :-) We have a proper old fashioned sweet shop at the top of our road, too, and a lovely chinese. All good. Though people being so lovely led to "just going out for a drink" leading to not going home until 7am. Awesome but knackering.
This week has been a bit mixed, I am still waiting for my house contract to arrive so I can sign it, but I did unexpectedly receive a CD recorded by one of my uni friends. Which is so far sounding great. Time out's annoying me still, but I've now got a fairly short count-down to handing in my notice. Which I can't wait to do! Yesterday I met Gemma for a drink, after realising we hadnt seen each other for nearly 4 months. Time flies. Now I'm suffering from a horrible cold, and feeling generally very run down because I can't breathe properly. Colds suck. Just home it doesn't turn into flu, I can't afford to have any time off work!
Finally, I'm going on holiday soon! I can't wait, it's the first proper holiday I'll have had in nearly 4 years. That's not right at all. But before that, I'm gong to see both Hellogoodbye on Tuesday, and Brand New on Feb 6th.
This year rocks/is rocking/will rock in future.
