Since I've gotten so bad about doing this and I am also pretty sure that no one cares, I will say that The Sweet by and by by Todd Johnson is a really good book. It is about five Southern women who intersect around a nursing home. It was interesting to see elderly main characters and it was also nice to see a book set in the South that wasn't only about racial tension. Sometimes the Southern fiction genre makes it seem like all Southerns do is drink sweet tea and be racist. I adored the scene when the two old ladies escape from the nursing home. It's a bittersweet book, but I highly recommend it.
