What a great weekend!
Friday night I hung out with my parents, we went out to a new pizza place in Battle Creek that was really good, I had BLT pizza. Then Joe and I rented In America, which was excellent. We drank Yerba Mate all night, i'm so addicted.
Saturday I went shopping in Ann Arbor with Joe, we went thrift shopping for my 80's outfit for the retro dance. We found a great dress for six dollars. It was so fun. Then came the retro dance, I danced all night, my feet hurt so bad afterwards, it was worth it. I just can't imagine what it would've felt like if I had decided to wear the heels. I got home at about midnight. I went with Sam, Shawna, Emily, Miriam, and Ambre. It was pretty great.
I woke up early the next morning for church extremely tired. The message and the music were great. After that Joe and I waited for Elaine to come over on her way home from Holland(where she had just taken a roadtrip). She came over and ate with us and then we went to The Divas. It was really funny, although the MC was a little unbearable at times. After that we went to Schulers with the theater group, my aunt said she'd buy us free drinks. We tricked the waitress into getting me vodkatonic, it was funny, and no one really notice because it just looks like sprite. We laughed about it, and i'm sure that the waitress knew. After eating a scrumptious caesar salad there, we left to take my aunt home.
Then Elaine went home. Then Joe and I went to THE CONSTANTINES concert!!! It was soo great, I loved it so much I needed a good concert so desperately. It was so excellent-oh my goodness, it was cheap too. Ahhh it was so great. Joe liked both of their opening bands too, they were pretty good, I loved the second opener. But the Constantines were so great. I fell in love with their keyboardist too, I made eye contact with him once *swoon* Joe and I were way up front so I stole set lists as well. Well that was the best concert i've ever gone to.
Today I slept in because I was so tired and my ankles were in desparate need of rest between dancing and and standing through a five hour concert. Today Joe and I have plans to go see Aunt Gail, my aunt visiting from Florida, who I hardly ever get to see (she's staying with Janice for the week). The rest of the day will probably consist of getting my book and scarf finished.
Joe and I might go see Pedro The Lion and Low in Chicago early to mid February. I also have hopes to see Wilco(with or without Joe) mid February, if anyone's interested in driving me....hehe.
Love to all.
