all right, by now most of you with access to some sort of media outlet have seen
this. i'd be interested to know everyone's reaction, since there seems to be a dearth of discussion of the matter on my friends page.
i, for one, am utterly apalled. the UPD's conduct was beyond reprehensible. the public response from the administration has been

How desperate are we as a generation if we rally behind a college student who couldn't formulate an intelligible querry or understand the "one question format." But let me clarify just where I stand:
I don't think people should get tazed for things like that, so I think the cops were out of line.
I think, no matter how long he had to wait, he should have asked one his question and stepped back, as everyone else was instructed to do. Instead he rambled on with an un-necessary and lengthy preface, then proceeded to ask multiple questions in a very inarticulate manner, and behaved like a baby when asked to stop talking, because let's be honest, he wasn't asking questions, he was basking in the spotlight. He can be heard saying in the tape "You talked for 2 hours, now it's my turn." What the hell? Since when did that lecture become a freakin debate or open mic night at Common Grounds? This guy wanted to be internet famous, and guess what, he is. Now all he has to look forward to are SNL parodies and guest spots on Hannah Montana. Well done.
I think, like flavobean here, that when not only one cop but several cops tell you to calm down; you calm the f*ck down. He had several opportunities to chill out, but kept pushing the limit.
But ultimately, I feel the sorriest for the person behind this douche-nozzle. They were the one hurt most by this maylay, because after waiting hours just for the chance to ask a single question, exactly like douchey-McTazer-f*ck, they probably never got to find out whether John Kerry wears boxers or briefs, or what flavor of Skittles he likes the most. I think if anyone should have gotten to taze this Monumental Douche-Monger, it should have been the quiet, respectful, well-prepared and patient student standing right behind him.
That's just me though.
