HOORAH, Spring semester is over! Okay, so I only took one class, but it's nice to have a break from continually churning out essays and study guides.
First and foremost, I must send my love to
tennathing , who is now studying abroad in Italy for six weeks! Ciao bella, I hope you have a grand time. (I expect many awesome photographs upon your return!) and ... Maybe I will actually work on our website over the Summer. :P
Anyway, as previously mentioned, here's a brief summary of events:
-Took Mum to Mercer Gardens for Mother's Day.
Photos uploaded here! We only visited the Botanical Garden side, but I wouldn't mind bringing along my dogs for a walk in the arboretum part sometime. Needless to say, this inspired both of us to keep working on the yard. This past weekend we brought home some lovely roses, gardenias, and I even brought home some adorable succulents to start my window garden.
-This weekend : Liz's Graduation Party! I will know all of two people there, but uh, I'm sure it'll be fun & different! Maybe I'll even play bartender, who knows.
-Memorial Weekend : Fishing at Trinity River with Dad! I'm hoping the dry weather we've been experiencing will increase the odds of catching some fish. The river was too high last year, and we didn't get a single bite.
-First weekend of June : Taiko (japanese drumming) class begins. Recreational classes that work with my schedule are hard to come by, so I jumped at the chance for Summer weekend classes that
Kaminari Taiko is offering.
-Peter Gabriel concert (June 16): This is huge stuff and...pretty much a dream come true. I've been a fan for years, from his well-known '80s pop hits to the more worldbeat-influenced songs. Seeing a live performance is something I would imagine, but never really thought would happen. and so soon! My heart swells just thinking about it! My enthusiasm simply cannot be contained, I may have to
express it somehow, when the day comes.
