I’m the only one who wore a costume to work today, buu. L WHERE’S THE HOLIDAY CHEER
Some things that have happened since last oopdatten:
- Renfest: Last weekend, Amity and I attended the Texas Renaissance Festival both Saturday and Sunday. We spent Saturday night at my dad’s, since he lives closer to the RenFest grounds than we do. It was nice to “get out of the house” for awhile. I’ll post the photos in a separate journal entry soon.
- Jasmine scratched my hand really really badly on Monday. I was trying to pick her up off the counter and accidentally startled her, causing her to JUMP OFF MY HAND, and then she BROKE the sugar jar on the counter. WTH jasmine…
I poured witch hazel and put melaleuca oil on the scratches, so they didn’t get puffy, but I still have this terrible scratch on the base of my ring finger that is pink around the edges and kinda yellowish on the inside…yeah…pics later.
The last two nights I’ve been frantically getting Halloween things together. I was up very late last night making a big batch of Jell-O shots. :P! It’s my first time making them, but if the rest taste like the one I tried, I think they’ll be pretty decent. Amity is also making a big bucket of margaritas. ALSO I FINALLY GOT SOME OF YOUNG’S DOUBLE CHOCOLATE STOUT!!! <3 Let’s hope it tastes as good as it sounds.
We didn’t have time to put decorations out, which is a pity…but we bought a bunch of candy and I got two pumpkins last night. I was going to carve one before tonight, but we got home late and the Jell-O shots took some time.
I’m just planning on celebrating Halloween the whole weekend, considering Dia de los Muertos is on Sunday anyway. My last couple Halloweens have royally sucked (last year I was broke + jobless, and the year before I had a philosophy test at night), so I am trying to make it up this year! J
