Summary: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny on the train home from Hogwarts, pulling into Kings Cross station. This was written RIGHT after I read DH, but never posted it. Enjoy! ♥
Slouching in his seat, and resting his head on the glass window, Harry saw the scenery zoom past him like a blur. That's what the last week had been since he defeated Lord Voldemort, and thought this was a very strange dream but didn't want to wake up. He'd finally got rid of him. No more pains in his scar, and no more worrying what the future holds. All that the future holds for him is his life with the girl right next to him. Ginny Weasley. She was laying across the seat on the right side of the carriage, and layed her head on his lap as he gently stroked her hair, while she slept. After Voldemort was defeated, and after making sure Ron and Hermione were in the safety of the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry went to see Ginny to talk to her about where they stood. The whole time he was away with Hermione and Ron, Ginny was on his mind.
After an hour or two of talking about everything, they made up and their relationship was stronger than ever. And it was alot better without Ron walking in on them, having a make-up kiss.
Hearing a groan from the other side of the carriage, he saw Hermione fidget as she napped. She was sitting close to Ron, resting her head on his shoulder as they both slept. Hands entwined. Harry wasn't sure if they'd spoken about their relationship with one another, but he assumed they hadn't yet, because Ron would probably told him. They tell each other everything, and he would of also seen those two kiss again, because since the kiss during the battle, he hadn't seen them do it again. 7 years of tension was sure to leave those two joined at the lips 27/4, but they only held hands.
Smiling to himself, he shifted to sit up and looked down at Ginny, still stroking her hair. Feeling the train slowing down, he gazed out the window and saw the train pulling into Kings Cross. Relief came over him. He never knew how much he missed the non-magical world after all what's happened over the past year.
"Ginny?" he said, quietly, rubbing up and down her arm. She moaned and fidgeted, slowly opening her eyes to focus on Harry's face. She saw those piercing green eyes of his and melted entirely inside.
"Harry" she whispered, smiling.
"Were here. Kings Cross station"
"Great!" she squealed, getting up at the same time. Ginny gave Harry a kiss on the lips, softly, then looked over at her brother. Smiling and rolling her eyes at Harry, she raised herself from the seat and went over to the pair still sleeping. She mouthed Holding Hands and Harry nodded, happily
"Roooonnalllddd" she said, in a singing tone, quietly.
"Go away"
"Ron! Spider!" she shouted at him. His eyes widened and he shot up in his seat, causing Hermione to wake up and fall off the chair.
"RONALD!" shouted Hermione, getting up from the floor
"Sorry, Hermione. Ginny, where's the spider? WHERE?" he called out, looking around the place fast. Ginny laughed
"No where. I just said it to wake you up!" she said back. Ron folded his arms and sighed
"Thanks, Gin. You could of hurt Hermione, because of making me jump!"
"Alright! Alright! Keep your hair on" she said, holding her hands out in defense "Maybe you two shouldn't sit to close to each other!" This was a cue for Ron and Hermione to blush. The train stopped to a halt and they all made their way to the doors.
"Its so weird, isn't it? How quiet the train is" mentioned Harry as they got off the train, one by one
"Yeah, your right"
Harry and Ginny stopped to a halt as they saw wizards gathered on the platform to greet the hero as he arrived back at Platform 9 3/4. Ron and Hermione thought that it was best to get away from them before they're seen, as they're known to be traveling with Harry before he defeated Lord Voldemort. Grabbing hold of Hermione's hand, Ron started sprinting away from Harry, Ginny, the train and the crowd of cheering wizards, to somewhere more secluded to wait for them as they were interrogated.
"Hurry" Ron muttered, as he pulled Hermione away from the train. Hermione was smiling as she was running behind Ron, clutching his hand
"Oh, thanks you two" moaned Ginny as they ran off
"Its okay, we wont be here long. Let's just make an excuse" Harry whispered to her, she nodded to this.
"Harry Potter! How does it feel to have finally defeated the darkest wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort?"
"Umm great, yeah. Great" he stuttered. He wasn't in the mood to answer lots of questions. He couldn't think of anything to say to get out of there "Umm excuse me, everyone? I really appreciate you all coming down to see me but I'm really tire-"
"Harry! Harry!"
Harry sighed
"Yes?"
"Where have you been over the past year? You vanish-"
"Thats none of your concern, look I have to-"
"Mr Potter, 'scuse me, Mr Potter? How did you defeat Him? What spell?"
"Did you lose anyone during the big battle between good and evil?"
"What are you going to do now you've just defeated the evil side-"
"Stop!" Harry shouted. So many questions that he didn't want to answer was thrown at him at the same time. He wanted to get him and Ginny out of there "Look, I know it a big deal to have defeated him, but I've had the roughest week you can ever imagine, well, roughest year, and I'd really appreciate it if you could all just-"
"What did you do during this past year, Mr Potter?" asked a reporter, butting into Harry's speech
Harry just grabbed Ginny's hand and pushed his way through reporters and wizards, saying 'excuse me' as he barged past and nudged anyone aggressively
"Mr Potter? Mr Potter?" asked random people in the crowd
"Ignore them, Ginny" he said to her as they got through the crowd and went to find Ron and Hermione.

After getting away from the crowd of information-thirsty wizards and reporters, Ron let go of Hermione's hand and they were somewhere not too far from the two who were being smothered.
"Maybe we should go back and help" mentioned Hermione "Harry doesn't need this right now. He's had a rough year"
"We all have, Hermione. None of us need this. If were there, they'll ask more and more questions and we'll never get outta there" Ron said back. Hermione smiled
"I guess your right" said Hermione "for once"
"Hey!"
"Sorry, Ron" she looked down at her feet, and started playing with random things on the floor "Thanks for getting me out of there"
"No problem"
"So, what's happening now, Ron?" she asked, leaning on the wall next to Ron and gazing out at the gathered wizards
"Well, when we get Harry outta there, along with Ginny, we can all go back to The Burrow, I guess"
"Great! Well, maybe we-" Hermione stopped mid-sentence at the sight of Draco Malfoy, getting off the train, accompanied by Goyle, looking nervous and disheveled
"Well, well, well" said a chirpy Ron" Look who it is"
"Don't go over there, Ron"
"Who said I was?" he asked
Hermione saw Harry and Ginny emerged from the bunch of people and were heading towards them
"Ron, its them. Lets go"
