"In order to best put aside fears, the Ministry will be providing as much information about the census questionnaire as possible," Ministry Press Secretary Mary MacDonald announced early this morning.

"The Ministry wants to be very clear that there will be no questions about blood status," MacDonald said. "That is not want the census is about."

According to MacDonald. the census is simply a way to gather information about the members of the British wizarding community as well as the issues that the Ministry needs to address.

"By completing the census, you will be providing the Ministry any accurate picture of the average wizarding household," she said. "With this information, the Minister hopes to improve the lives of all the members of the community."

According to McDonald, the census questionnaire will be owl to every household, where a known witch or wizard is residing. The questionnaire will have around 10 to 25 questions ranging from, number of of-age wizards compared to underage wizards to number of magical creatures living in the home and for what purpose, domestic workers or familiars.

The Ministry will not ask residents to catalogue magical creatures that live around their home; instead, relying on temporary Ministry-hired help as well as volunteers from the wizarding community.

In addition, Minister Ogden plans to work with the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures to help gather information about non-human and part-human creatures.

"We plan on reaching out to Reserves and any masters studying creatures within this realm to provide numbers," she said.

McDonald concluded that there was nothing to fear about the census.

"It is all about the numbers; not Pureblood or Muggle-born," she said. "We just want the numbers."
