It was worth a try.
Zach had crossed her mind a few times since she'd had to cancel their dinner plans last month. First, she'd been too busy moving in to reschedule. Then, she'd been embarrassed. After some time had gone by and she hadn't run into him, she felt awkward just owling out of the blue.
But he was nice. And other than intermittent lunches with George, she hadn't much of a social life at the moment. Whether Zach turned out to be just a friend, or something else, she needed to get out more after work.
"Raow," complained Loki, as if reading her thoughts.
She reached down to stroke him. "Don't worry, mate. You're still my main attraction."
Hell, here goes nothing, she thought, reaching for a quill and parchment.
Zach ~
Time has sort of got away from me, with the new flat and the new job and all, but I'd still like to take you up on those dinner plans we had to cancel. Since I'm the one who bailed last time, how about I do the cooking, and you still bring your guitar? (I wouldn't say no to a bottle of wine, either...) Wednesday night would be perfect, if you're available. I have the day off and could make something decent.
