Susan was dressed in Muggle clothing today. A pair of denims, a tight-fitting knit top, high-top flat-bottomed 'sneakers' that were called "Chucks", though she still wasn't sure where they got their name. Maybe a guy named Charles invented them? Perhaps they were good to throw at people... she wasn't sure, but she made a note to further research it. Sometimes the nuances of Muggle life fascinated her. It was the part of her job that she absolutely loved. It was too bad that she couldn't talk about it more with others in the context of her research, but Susan respected the boundaries outlined by her contract with the Ministry and never discussed any of her work with anyone aside from letting them know that she worked in the Department of Mysteries.
She had spent the day as a Muggle and left her wand in it's holster underneath her right pant leg, strapped to her boot.
Susan was easygoing and struck up conversations with Muggles all day. She had observed and watched, engaged and listened. Now it was time to get her thoughts onto paper and write down all the things floating around in her head she either couldn't have written at the time or needed to research later. So, Susan headed for the first place she thought of - the Leaky Cauldron. It was an easy walk and had an entrance from Muggle London, of course. Besides, they had beer.
Sitting down on a stool at the bar, Susan whirled around once before catching herself with her hands to the counter. She put her face directly into the menu in front of her, looking for something to eat, as well as a pint to get her though her note-making. "I'll have a pint of the ale and... bangers and mash.Salad, too, on the side, please. Oil and vinegar."
She put the menu down and looked up to spot a familiar face. "Oh, hey!"
