Hermione was having an excellent day. She'd managed to arrange things just so with Cookoo for Draco's birthday tomorrow. It was a little disconcerting to have a house-elf calling her mistress, but Hermione had the suspicion that Cookoo way of letting her know the plans met with her approval. W.H. had taken on a new client after some very tricky negotiations earlier that week which Hermione had been thrilled to sit in on. The contract was for the development of improvements to a half-dozen charms. Her Charms Master had assigned two of them to Hermione to work up herself and she was excited about the work. At four, her normal stopping time, she tidied up her desk in the Goshawk's library and went to change from work clothes into flying clothes. She was meeting Cho at 4:30 to fly.
Looking forward to seeing her friend, Hermione said good-bye to W.H. and Madam Goshawk and Apparated to Hogsmeade.
