Lavender had been very productive on her day off from the travel agency. She'd spent a few hours in the morning catching up on her correspondence with the boutiques in Paris, clarifying the details of their agreement. After that, she'd moved on to a custom project for a friend of her mother's - layering charms and a few runes onto an already elaborate handbag. By the time noon came round, Pompom was running around her flat like a dog possessed.
Setting down the parchment she'd been drafting ideas on, Lavender couldn't help but grin. She took a peek out the window and saw the day was bright and sunny. "You're right. Let's go for a walk," she told him.
Out in the alley, she spotted a familiar face. "Sea!" she called out, smiling.
"Hiya, Seamus!" Harry called out, but before Harry could reach him in the street, he saw another familiar face. "Lavender, hello."
Harry shoved his hands in his pockets, not quite sure how to address Lavender after so long between their meetings. With Seamus, it was easier - they'd shared a dormitory for so many years, he was almost like a brother. Lavender wasn't still that girl that called his best mate "Won-Won," but that didn't keep Harry from still feeling a bit awkward around her. After all, she was a pretty girl and Harry had always had trouble with what to say around pretty girls.
"Woah, hey--" Seamus yelped through his custard, taken aback by the sudden assault on all sides. Out of nowhere there was Lavender, with what looked like a yipping ball of fluff -- and then, completely unexpected and looking a little bit older, Harry.
He really hadn't seen either of them as often as he'd like lately; that was why they both received a collective -- slightly sticky -- grin. "Lavender, Harry! Knew this would be a good day." Sea reached out to clap Harry on the shoulder, simultaneously lifting the custard away from the hopping dog. "What're you two up... to?"
Lavender gave Sea a quick one armed hug, holding Pompom back with one leg as she deftly avoided the custard. She turned to Harry and did the same, smiling widely. "I'm well, and you?" she said to Harry.
She gave Pompom a look. "Pom, sit," she said firmly. "Just walking the dog," she told Seamus with a giggle. "Skeeving off work. What about you?" she asked.
"Wha d'you know, me too." Sea nodded in the hopeful direction of the Junk Shop, which he'd passed gingerly a minute or so ago. "Jus'... Didn't go today. Bad of me, eh?"
