It was Fleur's habit to rise early. While she was not full Veela, she retained the early bird tendencies of her maternal line. It gave her an opportunity to work in her garden a little and shower before waking Bill and making breakfast while he showered and dressed for the day. When they were first married, Fleur would have been likely to climb back into bed with her husband after her shower on the weekends. Now, she would not open herself up to yet another rejection.

Fleur did not have to bother being quiet dressing this morning as Bill had once again found an excuse not to sleep beside her. She wondered how long it would be before he approached her about one or the other of them moving out. Fleur loved her little cottage and its gardens. She did not intend to volunteer to be the one to go.

Making her way downstairs, Fleur heard her husband snoring on the sofa in the sitting room. She sighed and turned toward the kitchen and blinked a few times. There was a covered cutting in a pot on the table. It appeared to be vining honeysuckle. Fleur picked up the folded parchment that laid next to it. Something fell out and she picked it up but finished reading the note first, following the direction to look out the window. Fleur spotted a lovely bench with an arbor sitting outside and grinned. It would look lovely on the side lawn at the end of the path near the stone fence facing toward the garden, but not so close that the honeysuckle would strangle her other flowers. Setting the note aside, Fleur looked at the other, smaller slip of parchment and laughed.

This coupon good for one red-haired
gardening assistant, name of William

Perhaps her husband was not so interested in getting rid of her after all.
