"Oi!" Katie shouted, approaching Charlie outside the house. "Charlie!"

She took a deep breath. She didn't know Charlie well, but was nonetheless glad he'd thought of her and asked her to come play Quidditch with his family. Katie had known Fred and George well in school and Percy only somewhat. Charlie had always been that older, sexier, unattainable man of a Weasley. He was rugged and built like an athlete and Katie had to stop herself from drooling at him when she saw him. He was even more a man than she remembered and was defined in all the places where a man should be.

She ran a hand through her hair and thanked Merlin Mary had let her off early today.

"There's no way I'm the first one here, is there?" she asked, shocked.

"Katie! Merlin, you get more beautiful every time I see you. I still remember when you were a scrawny first year," Charlie grinned at her appreciatively. "I haven't seen anyone else yet. Some might have came through the Floo and got waylaid by Mum." He lowered the collection of firewood he'd collected over by the pit to use later as they needed it.

"How've you been? Ministry keeping you busy? I think that's where George said you were working these days."

"I've been alright. Reckon I need a good game of Quidditch to let off some steam. I'm working for the Ministry's Press Office and I work more hours than not. I'm about ready to start popping some journalists in the face if they don't lay off with their ridiculous questions," Katie said harshly.

Suddenly realising how stupid she sounded, she laughed at herself.

"See?"

"Well, Quidditch will be had, love. Help yourself to something to drink or feel free to fly about and loosen up."

Athena arrived, without Percy in tow, much to her displeasure. She was still hopeful that he would come on his own, but she found that to be doubtful.

"Chuck!" Athena yelled, waving once she saw him before throwing her arms around him in a tight hug upon reaching him. A

Athena felt like she never saw Charlie anymore, not that anyone really did. It was nice to have a chance to see him for once.

Charlie picked her up and swung her around like she weighed nothing. "Bloody hell, woman! You're the size of a pixie. Don't they feed you Aurors?"

He set her down and then bent her back, kissing her deeply. "Yeah, you kiss like a girl. No complaints. Just sayin'," he winked.

"I'm petite, I can't help it," she said before kissing him back. "Would you rather I kiss like a boy?" She asked with a smirk, her cheeks slightly pink, hoping Molly hadn't caught that, neither of them would hear the end of it.

"You can take me too, I reckon," he was sure she could. He was used to dealing with dragons, not dark wizards. Charlie was quite sure Athena could lay him out flat if she had a mind to; Tonks could. Fortunately, while Tonks liked to prove it just because, Athena was kinder to his poor bones. "No, way. I like you exactly the way you are." He kissed her forehead and let her go.

"Oi! It's Percy!"

George was an irritable bastard for most of the day, he told himself that it was because he was anxious to get out of the shop and onto the pitch, but in reality, his feelings were more mixed than that. They hadn't played a family game without Fred in, well...ever, and his absence was going to hurt, and keep on hurting as teams were decided, as Bludgers were hit, as food was eaten, as memories were shared.

Not that he was all that tempted to skip it. He knew that nothing would be more satisfying than a little , competition, not to mention organized, family sanctioned violence.

At least he wouldn't be arriving alone, and he had to laugh at the idea that he was relying on Ron this way. Yet another crutch, apparently, but it was helping with the drinking, and he hadn't shagged a faceless bird in...well, ages. He did a half-arsed job of closing up, leaving a few things out in his haste, and took the stairs two at a time, tearing off his magenta robes as he went. "Oi, Ron, hurry up, will ya?"

"You hurry up," Ron called, already donning his game clothes. "You're the one who's late."

He collected the biscuits he'd baked (Mum would be impressed) and grabbed his broom just as George emerged from his room in more comfortable clothes.

"Race you to the Bur-," he said with a grin, and Disapparated before George had a chance to match his departure.

"So speaks the unemployed," George said, grinning and feeling a great deal more positive. Before he got the chance to grab his broom or even protest, Ron was gone, and George swore under his breath. He promised himself he'd bombard Ron with Bludgers in retaliation.

Still, it was a good thing, because it allowed him to grab the box of donuts he'd kept hidden. Hopefully Percy would know to keep quiet. If he showed, of course.

His stomach, already a bit wonky, wasn't too pleased with the squeeze of apparition, but he put on a grin as he threw his broom over his shoulder and yelled out, "You can all relax now, the real fun's arrived."

"Oi! All I see is a pair of ginger blokes. And not even good looking ones at that. Where's this real fun you mentioned? Is Ginny hidin' behind you?" Charlie grabbed George in a head lock and scruffed up his hair. Then let him go to grab Ron.

"Ron, you gotta stop growin' mate. I'm getting a complex here," Charlie joked. Not really. He was used to being one of the shortest Weasleys. He gave him a brotherly hug instead. "Congratulations on getting through Hogwarts."

Percy trudged up the path, looking back only once when a single wave of near-crippling fear overtook him. 'No one around, you can still run. I doubt many of the others will be walking.' But he resisted and made it over the hill as if it were some great mountain, as if he were four years old again and the hill going up the path still seemed impossibly large and steep.

Charlie was just releasing Athena from what looked less like a kiss and more like spelunking, and Percy resisted a smile. She had been so good to him these past few months. When Charlie finally deigned to look past Athena, Percy met his gaze unfalteringly.

"How have you been, Charlie?"

"Awesome as always, Perce," Charlie slung his arm around Percy's shoulder. "Glad you could make it. There's butterbeer, water, and all sorts of good things. We'll have a fire later to roast some things. Mum's inside if you want to say hello." He held up his hands, "Not pushing. Just sayin' is all."

"You know Attie, of course, and probably Katie too," Charlie winked at both the ladies.

Percy froze at the light contact, not quite expecting it for some reason. "As if you aren't around things that roast the rest of the day?" Percy sighed. "I know you're not, and...maybe later." He managed a noncommittal smile. Small steps.

At sight of the girls, Percy relaxed a little...not a normal reaction, but the growing crowd was a good thing in this case. It prevented him from facing whatever he'd have to face in that house eventually. "Glad to see they let you take breaks, Katie," he jibed, remembering his own time at the Ministry.

Athena hugged Percy before hitting him slightly upside the head innocently. "Look who decided to show."

Alicia walked up, a huge smile on her face. She loved nothing more than Quidditch, and George and Katie, so she was excited to be here.

"Katie! George!" She called excitedly.

"And Charlie and everyone else, of course, am I late again?" She asked, hugging Katie and then George, kissing his cheek.

Charlie grinned and waved, "It's all good, love. Grab a butterbeer or go warm up. I'll let loose the Quaffle in a bit."
