He was grateful the Wizengamot had decided to have a closed gallery; otherwise the seats surrounding him would have been filled. Adjusting himself in his seat, Tiberius Ogden glanced at the other members who were sitting in preparation of what The Prophet was calling 'Trial of a lifetime'. He already told Head of the Wizengamot that he would be abstaining from voting, but he wanted to listen to the case.
Mafalda Hopkirk was lead in by a pair of Aurors and seated in the center of the room. Her accusers were seated in the majority empty gallery seats, except one man, who stood and crossed over to her. He leaned over and whispered something in her ear and she gave a little nod. He stood and in turn gave the nod to the Head, who banged down his gavel and announced that they were ready to preceded calling the first witness.
