Pansy took the tray of mini fruit tarts from her elf. "I have it. You may go back to the studio and finish sewing. I won't need you this evening."

Tossing a fashionable wrap over her shoulders in case they decided to go out later, Pansy took up a handful of Floo Powder. "Whitelocke Cottage," she called out and spun away to her destination.

Tracey was pulling out her bottled from her bag when she saw someone come in by Floo. "Pansy, how are you?" she asked as she brought the bottles back to proper size. "Drink?"

"I'm well, and you?" Pansy thought a glass or two of wine would be good. "Please. The Chardonnay, if you don't mind. Blaise said your party was a success. I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it."

"I brought something sweet for everyone," Pansy offered the tray of sweets to Millie's elf to deal with.

"Bored, but fine otherwise. How was your trip to France?" Tracey was certain that was where Pansy said she was after she declind the invition to Tracey's party. Nodding at Pansy's request, Tracey pulled out a pen, which she transfigured into a corkscrew. Quickly, she uncorked the bottle before pouring them each a glass. "Millie, would you like some chardonnay?" she asked before pouring a third. I'll have it, if she doesn't.

"No one went home hexed, so I would consider it a success. Although, I was surprised by Blaise's date."

"It did not go exactly as I hoped but I survived." Understatement but Pansy wasn't going to talk about the Lestrange brothers. "Paris is an important fashion hub." Pansy took her glass, "Thank you."

"That is a success. Oh? Who is he seeing these days?" She tried to look interested but aloof.

Tracey took a large drink if her wine. "I don't know if he's actually seeing her, but he brought Melinda Bobbin to the party. She's in this band I'm playing with."

Melinda Bobbin. Pansy filed the name away for later. It was familiar but she thought it was because of her family name.

She was caught by what else Tracey said. "You're playing in a band? I definitely need to hear about this. Tell, tell!"

Taking another drink, she shrugged. "There isn't much to say yet. I saw an advertisement for auditions and thought, 'I'm not doing much else.'" Tracey gave another shrug. Vaisey is part of it, which is slightly awful, but the others aren't bad. One of the leaders, Mandy wrote this brilliant song."

Josh Vaisey had hideous taste in friends. Pansy had heard he'd been living with one of the Ravenclaw tarts from her year. Probably that Brocklehurst girl since there was a Mandy involved in the band also. "Good for you. Perhaps you'll all become famous like the Weird Sisters. I don't recall you ever mentioning that you play. What instrument or are you the new vocalist?"

Tracey was still sipping her wine, almost finishing her glass. "I had hoped to be famous for something other than my musical talents," she said. "I've always been interested in the guitar, but I didn't start playing until this past summer. As for vocals, I will leave that to Mandy and Melinda, they are the singers."

"I would enjoy hearing you play sometime when you're ready for public performance."

Pansy sipped her wine, "Are we expecting Daphne too?"

"Hi, girls!" Daphne said, brightly as she came to join her former Housemates. "I'm here, party can start now." She winked at Pansy and laughed.

She was in a good mood and was happy to see her friends and socialize a bit and get away from work for a bit.

"It is so bloody unfair that you get to make an entrance like that," Pansy grumbled without meaning it. "Hello, Daphne," Pansy said with a smile. "How have you been?"

Tracey downed the rest of her wine and stood to pour herself another glass. "It's about bloody time you got here. I'm getting more wine. You want some?"

Daphne pretended not to hear Pansy's grumbling. She still wanted to be the center of attention after all these years... couldn't let anyone share the limelight. Well, she'd just have to get used to it. Tracey was publishing her academic work and was in a band now - or so Daphne gathered - and Millicent was doing well in her work, pretty as ever, probably charming the pants off of wizards now. Pansy wasn't the only desirable Slytherin girl and if she wanted a posse, she'd have to look to the younger girls of their house to follow her around and worship her.

"Hullo," Daphne said, smiling with just a touch of smugness. "I'd love a glass, thank you, Tracey."

Tracey poured her a glass and made sure everyone else had a full glass as well before sipping hers.

"I'm getting pissed, care to join?"
